That same message has been shown for nearly 7 YEARS !!!!

This was the first Windows help forums that I joined in 2001 shortly after I started using the Internet.

It ran very well for many years but in late 2012/early 2013 we noticed that the Admin seemed to be absent for longer and longer periods of time - he used to delete spammers very quickly up to that time but the spam posts were suddenly being left up for longer and longer.

Then, about March or April 2013 the forums "crashed" completely (after acting weird for a couple of days) then that maintenance message appeared and its been like that ever since... lucky we didn't sit around waiting for it to come back.

I've always wondered if someone's been paying money to have that message displayed for 7 years? :D

thanks for that bobby yes i was asked to join ages ago but forgot about it....will take a look I missed chatting to everyone must admit....and the thought of posting at monks site sends shudders through me...lol..I did pop in to see if anyone had any news on what was happening....as I havent seen ozpol be off air that long before.....

but all I saw was a lot of abuse...I think its the nature of the place... get them before they get you.. syndrome...

I had to smile monk tells everyone no hold barred over there no censorship... then he tells red to stop using the phrase "bush lawyer."..... ;D ;D ;D ;D its a typical aussie phrase....use the C word next::) ::) time red its much more acceptable...

He, as well as all of OzPol, are on their radar for the Antisemitism that's posted there. They were, I don't know if they still do, keeping records of everything. They had contacted me because they wanted my help to do the same.

But I'm not interested, that's their battle, but it made me reach out and see what other groups might be watching.

All I will say is, when you post on OzPol, you are being watched.

I'm not in the business of doxing people, in fact, I think the practice is dangerous. But, there are some on OzPol, some who I know are certainly on these lists, that it's trivially easy to discover their identity, phone and address. If I can do it, so can they. I'm not going to go into who or how but just keep in mind that you're not as anonymous as you might think there, or even here.

I don't think FD or those who run here would do anything, but should he actually be shut down or real investigations launched due to these groups keeping records of the bigotry, racism and white supremacy that goes on as the norm at OzPol because of their complaints to law enforcement, as a butt saving exercise or as ordered by the courts, IPs and other information could be handed over.

I've worked for ISPs in the past,we've had to keep EVERYTHING, even before the mandatory data retention laws, and now it's even worse. VPNs can help, but I doubt most use them, and they're not fool proof.

Just some food for thought.

some people will get carried away.. as far as I know we still have FOS in this country.... not just to say what pleases some people... ::) ::)

if we all grovelled as some folks appear to do....we may as well sit down and let those who dont give a s*^#t take over...

I for one am not impressed with how some people speak and voice themselves thats for sure.....but if they dont care what others think about them it isnt fro me to say.......well let me say this I DO SAY....but what I mean is they are not going to take any notice of me.....and its not a crime .. its not nice as far as I am concerned...but seriously if you believe that rubbish from sad K...then all I can say is get a life.......those who speak out...are only a few here...they are not the majority.......and fd has a right to be impartial...

The intelligence agencies wouldn't be doing their jobs if they didn't monitor forums like this.
Sure, most extremist posts on this forum are from cowards who hide behind their anonymity and would never say those things in public.
There are a few members however, that I'm sure are on "watch" lists

I must admit that I really missed Ozpol.
I also post on many other forums but this one is my favourite.
