Title: Yeah Post by moses on Dec 28th, 2019 at 12:59pm Bushfires wipe out one in every three koalas on Australia's east coast - as experts warn the beloved marsupial could be on the verge of extinction The lunatic green inspired bureaucracy which fined people for clearing fire hazard material, instead it was enforced that the undergrowth had to be left alone as it was habitat for wild life. Well we now see the results of the brain dead policy of not having firebreaks, and yearly burn offs. But wait and see this madness will continue. |

Why does everybody want to blame Morrison?
My understanding is that state and local govts control the forests and emergency services. |

Nope. The states control national parks. The states are responsible for maintaining the parks to help prevent fires. Some states, it has been reported haven't done controlled burs for 30 or 40 years. And they didn't expect catastrophic fires? ::) |

Read the latest country life, about the Charleville bloke who was prosecuted for pushing mulga for his cattle to eat.
Mulga grows in a *least concern ecosystem* it is not endangered, yet our stupid green-labor policies now call it illegal to feed mulga to your cattle. We have been doing it since the convicts in chains first arrived. It is certainly not lib - nats policy to stop farmers feeding mulge to the cattle, the stupidity of the green left is to blame. |

Poor Barney confuses Greenpeace with the Greens Party. ;D ;D ;D ;D The problem with "Green Tape" is that it effectively takes the control out fireys control. It typically takes in excess of 3 months for a permit in national parks. "Strict controls are required to reduce the amount of rural burning that is not required for essential asset protection;" "Local Bush Fire Management Committees should prepare summaries of landholder obligations under risk management plans, including environmental assessment and protection requirements, for general circulation in the district;" " High bush fire hazard areas are usually those associated with natural areas and vegetation. The location of residential or rural residential areas in high bush fire hazard areas increases the level of native vegetation loss as well as the level of threat to people and their homes. This is neither economically, socially nor ecologically sustainable. New development that requires the clearing of native vegetation on adjoining properties should not be permitted in identified Bushfire Prone Areas, where such development is likely to put lives or property in danger or involve substantial protection and suppression costs including loss of environmental values." "The Greens NSW will work towards: 16. The need for Fire Permits to be obtained at all times of the year throughout New South Wales when there is a significant risk of fire escape, not just during the Bushfire Danger Period;" "19. The carrying out of adequate environmental assessment on all activities or works proposed to be undertaken in accordance with a bush fire risk management plan;" "20. Accurate mapping of all proposed and actual fires on a standardised Geographic Information System with additional data collected with respect to intensity, height of burn, slope, etc;" "28. Ensuring that all bush fire hazard management works proposed under bush fire management plans are prepared using the best available data, are available for public comment, and are adequately assessed to ensure that proposed works and prescriptions are ecologically sustainable and appropriate for implementation with an appropriate audit and compliance program." https://greens.org.au/nsw/policies/bushfire-risk-management Of course if you miss a burn date the permit lapses. Back to square one. |
