China - the ultimate 'Big Brother' regime ?

China Adopts Malicious "Cybersecurity" Rules

by Gordon G. Chang
November 30, 2019

After all these "cybersecurity" rules are in place, no foreign company may encrypt data so that it cannot be read by the Chinese central government and the Communist Party of China.

In other words, businesses will be required to turn over encryption keys.

Chinese officials will be permitted, under Chinese law, to share seized information with state enterprises.

This means the enterprises will be able to use that information against their foreign competitors.....

Security of information in today's world, is important for every political state.

But remember, so far as being 'a system of laws', The Peoples Republic of China, is a closed, authoritarian, totalitarian [even], political state.

There is no requirement in law, of public or 'lawful' scrutiny, of what Xi's regime does.

There are no individual, or even 'human' rights [protected in law], within China.

Once an individual or corporation is charged with any criminal offence, within China, here is no [right to] public scrutiny, of the process which will occur, within China's judicial system.

China has a closed judicial system and closed courts, which are not open to public scrutiny, or to any open reporting.

China.

Is a totalitarian state.

.....and a political state which has shown itself to have increasingly, 'acquisitive' militaristic ambitions.   !!!

"If you want to know a man's character, give him power."
- Abraham Lincoln

...applies equally, to those in charge of totalitarian political states.

They're not even in the same city, let alone ball park.
You see people complain about BB in the west but that is what China is, cameras watching your every move, keeping a tally of your "social points" Facial recognition everywhere, reeducation by vile means in room 101. The epitome of communist control envisioned by Orwell in '84, it ticks every box. No country in the world should trade with them. We used to put sanctions on countries for far less that China does.

Dear Set,
Big Brother lives here too.

One day you will learn to love Big Brother -
as he loves you very much.

Sorry not USA but Britain, not mentioning that British colony Australia did nothing to protect it's citizen.
By the way hypocrites your head of state British Queen, in accordance with British and your constitution, is above the law. She can do whatever she wants and not to be accountable.
Well in China that is not the case. I guess you should first look at your backyard before you judge others.

Of course not!  'Er Maj need merely suggest that  XXXXXXXX XX is causing a lot of embarrassment to the Royal, and off they go, cap in hand, to find a convenient way to dispose of XXXXXXXX XX .... plausible deniability, innit?

Been telling yez for years - China has a New Emperor and a bunch of New Mandarins - the more things change etc.... the Emperor and Mandarins can call on the entire resources of the State, including the military directly subject to the Party, to impose their will.... and our politicians view this with slavering chops, thinking how well things could be run if they could just do the same.... instead they have to use stealth and deceit, good as any Muslim...
