Title: Question for politicians.
Post by Bobby. on Nov 26th, 2019 at 11:38am
The question is -

why didn't any politicians say during election
campaigns over the last 25 years that they
planned to bring in millions of new immigrants
from all over the world? -
including from Sudan, Somalia & Pakistan etc.

They did. I dont remember who but back in late 70s early 80s it was a campaign promise wasnt it?

also the last few have done it too - they keep saying they are going to bring in migrants on those 457 visas

Yes - but Australia's immigration culture has been to bring in 'skilled and educated' peoples.
Not dole-bludging, baby-pumping, useless plebs to infest this country like ticks on a dog.

Gordon, perhaps they were allowed in because:

1) No one asked them what their attitudes were towards non-Muslims?
2) No one asked them if they intended to be Terrorists 10-20 years after the arrived?
3) No one asked them to swear allegiance to Australia when they arrived?
4) No one asked them not to listen to Islamist preachers who preached hatred towards all non-Muslims?
5) Perhaps they became radical in reaction to events overseas which occurred after they came to Australia, such as 11 September, the attack on Afghanistan/Iraq/etc.?

Gordon, no government is perfect, no government policy is perfect, there will always be mistakes.  People change over time, their attitudes change because of circumstances and their reactions to them.   A person who is  a good migrant might decide to start supporting say, Hitler and create a Nazi cell of agents who are dedicated to sabotaging our nation's war effort against the Axis powers (and don't claim I'm being ridiculous - it happened - look up Johannes Heinrich Becker - father to the SA MP Heini Becker).

You OTOH believe that everybody should be gifted with perfect foresight and determine peoples' fate purely on the basis of Racial/Religious/Sexual prejudice.  Fortunately most people think you're a fool.  I know I do.  ::)

They did, Bobby, they did.  Every major political party has a Party Platform at each and every election where they state what their party's policies are.  I've mentioned this to you before, so I know you're read but it is obvious you've failed to understand it.   In the party's Platform there will have been a section on immigration and another on Multiculturalism.   I'd recommend you go back to say 1945 and start reading the Parties' Platforms and find out what they were promising.  ::)

Pollies work on the same principle as;      Never ask for a 'cookie' if you believe that the answer will be, 'no'.

Instead, just take the 'cookie' when no one is looking.

And if your mum asks; Where have all of the 'cookies' gone ?  ...just shrug your shoulders.

"Maybe the dog ate them ?"

The last ugly individual on that list of photos is Neil Prakash who  is of Fijian-Indian and Cambodian background. He's sitting in a Turkish jail. First the dog tried to come back here and then he tried Fiji. He got knocked back on both occasions. I hope so jelly spine in government doesn't bring this maggot back here. If that happens I'll lose my last piece of respect for Australia.

Ah.  Accused.

"Donald Trump has not only been accused of rape and sexual misconduct by more than 20 women over the past several decades, but he regularly uses his power to threaten survivors who come forward and to protect and promote men who abuse women."

"And Trump's connections to Epstein's sex trafficking may go beyond merely superficial. In 2016, “Jane Doe” filed a lawsuit against Trump alleging a “savage sexual attack” in 1994, when she was 13 years old, in which he tied her to a bed at Epstein’s house, raped her, and struck her in the face. The account was corroborated by a witness who claimed to have seen the child perform sexual acts on both Trump and Epstein."

So Bobby, is the unnamed man who might be in his 30s guilty?

If so, is Trump guilty too?

They've both been accused.

Or, do you only assume people you don't like are guilty when they're accused of something, and the people you do like who are accused of something are always innocent?

I'm curious.

It started after the war and has continued ever since, but at first it was hard working Europeans, then the trash started coming in from third world shitholes

Malcolm Fraser said: If we had asked the electorate if they wanted more people here, the electorate would have said "NO"

So Fraser let trash come in and just ignored what we thought about it. Fraser could only do that with the blessing of the ALP

The trash is a reflection of the character of the Libs and Labs, who are undoubtedly trash themselves, they think trash, and they do trash

Be self-respectful and simply stop voting for them, they are ruining Australia

It started after the war and has continued ever since, but at first it was hard working Europeans, then the trash started coming in from third world shitholes

Malcolm Fraser said: If we had asked the electorate if they wanted more people here, the electorate would have said "NO"

So Fraser let trash come in and just ignored what we thought about it. Fraser could only do that with the blessing of the ALP

The trash is a reflection of the character of the Libs and Labs, who are undoubtedly trash themselves, they think trash, and they do trash

Be self-respectful and simply stop voting for them, they are ruining Australia

We live in a one party communist state so
we have no choice about the important topics.
Labor and Liberal just give an illusion of choice.
Parliament question time is all fake -
afterwards they all go and have a beer together
and laugh about the confected outrage.
We might as well watch WWF - professional wrestling theatre.

Malcolm Fraser's idiocy ... Concession for Maronite Christians - got Muslims instead (included were the illiterate, uneducated parents of the rapists Skaf brothers)

Soon after becoming prime minister in November 1975, Fraser was approached by some of the leaders of the Maronite (Christian) Lebanese community in Australia. They were concerned at the plight of fellow Maronites in the Lebanon civil war.

Fraser agreed to the proposal that Australia should accept those Lebanese fleeing the civil war. They were not refugees in the strict definition of the term, since they were not fleeing persecution. Rather, they were caught up in an armed conflict. And so was established what was termed “the Lebanon concession”, meaning that a concession to Australia’s existing policy of refugee intake would be implemented to take account of the special circumstances applying in Lebanon.

In the event, it turned out that few Maronites wanted to take advantage of the Lebanon concession. However, many Muslims did — particularly Sunnis from the rural north and Shi’ites from the rural south. This despite the fact the civil war was taking place primarily around the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Under the relaxed selection criteria to enter Australia under the Lebanon concession, a person only had to state that they were fleeing the civil war and that they had a relative living in Australia.

Few, if any, applicants were rejected.

Did Arthur Calwell mention millions of Sudanese, Somalians, Pakis , Indians and Muslims?

Quote:
'Populate or perish' was a rallying cry of post-World War II Labor Immigration Minister Arthur Calwell as he sought to overcome domestic resistance to immigration. For Calwell, immigration was the key to quickly boosting Australia's population numbers in the interests of economic and military security.

'Aggressive' asylum seeker accused of repeatedly trying to start a relationship with a girl, 13, is given medevac transfer to Australia

The man, believed to be in his 30s, is one of hundreds of migrants on Nauru
He is accused of 10 violent incidents as well as harassing a teenage girl
The unnamed man will now come to Australia after being assessed by doctors.

Ah.

We were told we'd perish but it was all bullshit, we were never going to perish without immigrants after WW2

We still had a viable economy and only just three years after the war workers could buy a brand new FX holden if they wanted one, thousands sold. Pubs were doing a roaring trade and "Australians were never as short of food nor rationed as heavily as civilians in the United Kingdom."

Strong wool and wheat sales in the years immediately following World War II were due to the rapid increase in demand for these commodities as part of post-war reconstruction

Saying we would perish was politicians just talking deceptive crap, they should have been jailed for treason

No, you gotta blame every PM after Billygoat McMahon for that. Calwell brought in hard working Europeans who knew which side their bread was buttered on. They worked on the Snowy Mountain scheme and other public works. Nearly all of them sent most of their wages back to the old country. I watched Snowy Scheme workers lined up at makeshift bank teller desks on site. I had to laugh, the bank teller would tell workers "You can't send that much, you can only send the allowed amount". A lot of money went out of Australia from that Scheme, the Govt had to put restrictions on it. It went on for years, tens of millions was lost to overseas

There was domestic resistance, but undemocratic traitor Calwell went ahead with it anyway. We have no say in the immigration policy, it's settled science

Write a letter to the immigration minister about African darkies invading, slashing, bashing, thieving and carjacking, and see what answer you get. You'll get a standard "Get stuffed and mind your own business"

He is accused of 10 violent incidents as well as harassing a teenage girl
The unnamed man will now come to Australia after being assessed by doctors.

Ah.

The question is -

why didn't any politicians say during election
campaigns over the last 25 years that they
planned to bring in millions of new immigrants
from all over the world? -
including from Sudan, Somalia & Pakistan etc.

https://www.smh.com.au/business/the-economy/high-immigration-is-changing-the-aussie-way-of-life-20191126-p53e5e.html

High immigration is changing the Aussie way of life.

The nation’s economic elite – politicians of all colours, businesspeople and economists – long ago decided we need to grow our population as fast as we can. To them, their reasons for believing this are so blindingly obvious they don’t need to be discussed.

Unfortunately, however, it’s doubtful most ordinary Australians agree. A survey last year by researchers at the Australian National University found that more than 69 per cent of respondents felt we didn’t need more people, well up on a similar poll in 2010.

This may explain why Scott Morrison announced before this year’s election a big cut in our permanent migrant intake – while failing to mention that our booming temporary migrant intake wouldn’t be constrained.

He also foreshadowed measures to encourage more migrants to settle in regional cities. What he didn’t say is what he’d be doing differently this time, given the many times such efforts had failed in the past.

In between scandalising over the invading hordes of boat people, John Howard greatly increased the immigration intake after the turn of the century, and this has been continued by the later Labor and Coalition governments. “Net overseas migration” accounts for about 60 per cent of our population growth.

In 2000, the Australian Bureau of Statistics projected that our population wouldn’t reach 25.4 million until 2051. We got there this year. Our population is growing much faster than other developed countries are.

Lure of cities too strong for regional Australia to keep migrants, despite government efforts - thank heavens

By Jack Snape and Markus Mannheim
Updated Mon at 9:03am

Over four decades, country towns have mostly failed to retain migrants, according to the most comprehensive snapshot of Australian migration ever collated.

And this trend of migrants moving to the cities appears to be increasing, despite repeated government efforts to make life in the regions more appealing.

We don't want the peace and serenity in the bush disrupted by darkies and muslims.

Australians' views on immigration are ignored by the economic elite and politicians of all colours, business people and economists - they don't need to be discussed

Due to immigration being a major party bi-partisan policy, the general population is spared democracy on the issue, it's one aspect of democracy that the public doesn't need

Australia is actually a safer society than it was 100 years ago.  Crime has not proliferated, it has actually decreased.  It gets reported more today than it did 100 years ago.  You are reacting to what the MSM likes to report, not to what is actually occurring.

Doesn't leave much to talk about - what about the biases that build up in politicians minds favoring immigrants over the rest of society? Lib Lab politics and the Law don't always treat everyone equally. I remember a muslim bloke south of Sydney who got just three years in jail for a premeditated murder. The judge said: "The general public won't understand this sentence", then he gave him only three years. The sentence was based on the muslim belief that it's ok to kill someone who breaches Sharia law. The judge sympathized with that. Sharia law is NOT our law

You're only looking at one side of immigration, you and your political ilk are blind to the many other facets of the policy that all political parties need to take notice of. To ignore them jeopardises the chance for real harmony in society. Your idea of harmony is to ram the immigrants in and call the rest of us racist - great way to conduct an immigration policy, I must say

"Race" as I have explained many times is a social construct and has no meaning in Genetics.  We all belong to the one "race", the human one.

Harmony is something the Racists love to talk about without noticing that they are the ones introducing disharmony into the debate and our society.  Overwhelming, the majority of Australians support Immigration (within reason) and Multiculturalism.  Indeed, over 85% of Australians support Multiculturalism according to the Social Harmony survey conducted by the Scanlon Institute.

We should talk numbers, not where immigrants come from.  We should increase IMO our humanitarian intake and we should allow asylum seekers the right to seek asylum on our shores, which they are guaranteed under the UN Treaty for Refugees.

Australia has a finite limit on how many immigrants it can absorb and what population it can carry.   This should be acknowledged but that is just numbers, nothing more.   We are a Multicultural, Multi-ethnic, Multi-religious society.   All you want to do is argue about what we aren't any more.  We have moved on from the days of the White Australia policy, thankfully, except in the imagination of the Racists.  ::)

So you keep saying. It's your standard cut&paste answer when you haven't got an answer for anything specific within the immigration debate - you're an intellectual dud

Australia is actually a safer society than it was 100 years ago.  Crime has not proliferated, it has actually decreased.  It gets reported more today than it did 100 years ago.  You are reacting to what the MSM likes to report, not to what is actually occurring.

Bobby would have it that Melbourne is a now an African slum with numerous African criminals beating up White Australians every day.   In reality, more crime is committed by non-Africans than Africans and more often than not, they are targeting each other, rather than people from other ethnic groups.  ::)

I don't remember: car jackings, home invasions and shop swarming theft,
before the Africans arrived.

You two really do have problems understanding how Democracy works, don't you?  ::)

We understand that the Libs and Labs don't want to discuss the issue of immigration

Au contraire'.  They are quite willing to discuss it, as long as you accept the ground rules they have laid down.   No Racism, no Islamophobia, no Homophobia, etc.  If you want to talk numbers, talk numbers.  If you want to talk skilled versus unskilled, talk that.  However, you cannot as all too often happens mix humanitarian versus unhumanitarian sources.  The two are completely different.  All too often, the Racists and Xenophobics will only talk about "race" and ethnicity and culture and skin colours and eye shapes and so on and so on.  ::)

Democracy of course means that you, as a voter get to control what the parties say and present as their party platform(s).  What's the betting you're not even a member of a political party and therefore have little control over what goes into their Platforms?  ::)

Had your head buried in your bible did you, Bobby?  Tsk, tsk, not to worry, perhaps your sky fairy will save you?  All those things occurred before the arrival of African refugees and guess what?  There wasn't an African in sight when they did occur!  ::) ::)
