The following is a selection of notes about upcoming planetary cycles and their possible effects on weather in the longer term. It was written in May, 2014.

Weather is determined by astronomical and physical reasons which are under fixed cyclic control.

Despite what climatologists would have us believe, the weather is not determined by any activities by Man.

From the dawn of time the Sun has always been the prime mover of weather, today it is the notion of a heavier-than-air “trace” gas called carbon dioxide. CO2 is absent in 99.96% of the atmosphere, and methane is one millionth, and yet we are encouraged to believe that between them the two gases have a controlling effect on the climate. That means 0.04% and 0.000001 respectfully, which is plainly absurd.

If we are ever to plan ahead for major droughts, measuring the effects of amounts of a negligible “greenhouse” gas is never going to advance it.  There is space weather, climatic weather and everyday weather. The  weighting system is suggested as follows:

1. Changes to whole planet:

(Irrespective of geography and nothing to do with the activities of Man)

Deviation of Earth’s rotational axis to the vertical.
Variation of Earth’s orbit.
Magnetosphere
Heliosphere

2. Climate at location:

(long-term trends in weather-patterns, nothing to do with activities of Man)

Proximity to equator (angle of the sun’s rays – latitude)
Direction of prevailing winds
Topographic factors – shape of land, proximity to other land masses, elevation and distance from coast

3. Weather at location:

(Trends and daily occurrences, nothing to do with activities of Man)

Influence of Moon on tides (including air tides), rain from ocean, and back to ocean. (80-85%), also ocean cycles e.g. El Nino
Level and intensity of cloud cover (keeps heat in, determines what, where, when of rain (15%)
Solar winds, cycles of sunspots (5% because of infrequency)

Immediate weather is modified by cycles of solar activity (position and number of occurring sunspots), and the cyclic position of the moon relative to the earth. Solar influences determine major droughts.

The above are extracts from the site, there is a lot more detail on the site planet alignments, how sunspots affect the weather. etc (Barnaby Joyce got it right?).

From what I can make of it, this drought we are in now may extend to 2023 in a lot of places.

I know man did not cause the many mass extinctions, end of the ice age, end of the Carboniferous era, end of the inland sea etc.etc. from the past.

I think it's time to stop using the natural cycle of the universe and its' effect on our weather as a political tool, the loony left should start working on helping people to live with the inevitable changes e.g.: longer severer droughts, major floodings, earthquakes, typhoons cyclones etc.etc. that we are going to have to live with in the future.

Once again the World falls into the duality of
Right or Wrong. Black or White, etc.
There can be only 'one' right answer apparently ::)

So how much additional CO₂ is required to affect our climate? How do you know that 0.04% won't increase temperatures? Emotively small numbers are being used to deceive.

1. point me to where I have said climate doesn't change, or even that CO2 does not have any effect.

2. Temperature is only a small subset of climate. AND UHI is all about temperature.

You have heard of Pressure petal? Pressure and Temperature are directly proportional. And how does CO2 heat anything? It doesn't. The source of energy of Venus is the Sun. Unless there are unknown heat engines on Venus. ;)


The carbon cycle. Humans are part of the carbon cycle because everything we eat has CO2 as an essential part (grasses What, Rye Oats) and therefore is merely being recycled.

But Cows, although being herbivores, are not part of the carbon cycle because they burp (more than fart) methane. But Methane is part of the carbon cycle it breaks down to CO2 and H2O.

More common sense (based on actual common sense, not political agendas) is the answer, yes some countries have too many people birth control is badly needed, but look what happened in China with the one child policy, little girls were murdered or abandoned in the bush at birth, in India right now infant girls are murdered and left to die beside a jungle track.

Truth is a big part of the answer, all cultures are not the same, a lot of the worlds' people have to fast track themselves into the 21st century.
