Title: Resilience Training
Post by aquascoot on Nov 10th, 2019 at 8:44am
people under 30 have been treated with love and compassion and they have always seen any sort of "mean" treatment as bullying.
i suppose there is some truth to that.

but they seem very predisposed to anxiety and panic.

is a certain ammount of "institutional  " toughness required to make people who are strong, powerful, confident, resilient and possessing legitimate self esteem.

is it time to bring back the evolutionary blowtorch to save the next generation.

is the US marine corps wrong to teach resilience in this time proven way

Only Death teaches.

The Military 'process' is just that - a process. A manufacturing of behaviour and in this case, it is abuse - but in a controlled manner by a 'system' (That particular nation)... but even systems break down.

Some nations are disciplined by Medicine when plagues and diseases take their toll on their lives.

Violence comes in many ways like a presenter to Death itself.

Would you take the violence of bullying, like what that Military did - if those who were conducting it, were the Criminals of your local Housing Commission District?

Call me cynical, but I see the main point of Boot Camp is to "de-program" you of your individuality and "re-program" you into a physical and mental state that supposedly prepares you for the battlefield. Yet a lot of people leave the military feeling lost as what to do with the rest of their lives, which often leads to anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.

Shame the Prisons no longer 'De-Program' the Criminals, before they rehabilitate them to be even more dangerous Criminals back out in public.

Rehabilitation is rubbish. Some find "God" and get out that way and then do the crime, again.

These days with DNA proof, Cops would have difficulty stitching somebody up.

Murderers and, especially Paedophiles should get LIFE - end of - none of this 15 years before they can be released. LIFE.  Until they die!

Plus they can save up for their cremation, like whatshisname had to.  ;D

think about that statement mini, because it makes my point.

they become mentally ill when they leave the structure , discipline and tough ness and have to try to make their way in the weak, directionless, snowflakery of modern society.

better to remain in that tough environment wouldnt you say.
proves modern society is toxic and unnatural

That's not about teaching resilience, it's about teaching obedience, as every schoolboy knows.
