Anyone had a crack at doing this? They make it look easy.

No. I have a Samsung S6. It needs a new battery and I'm going to replace it, the process is similar.

The new battery turned up the other day and I'll be doing it soon. I'm considering buying a new double sided adhesive thing before I do, just in case.

Yeah I have Samsung, this is for daughters phone.

The process for iPhone actually looks easier.

What have you go to lose? A useless phone?

"Pry tool" = guitar pick.

Christ, first you're a loser for buying an Apple product and second you're a bigger loser for using a "pry tool."

Decided to finally replace my S6 battery this evening. Done, now charging. Just be extremely gentle.

I practiced on a dead iPhone 6 and got it apart in 5 mins.

Tried with the iPhone 7 and the screen wouldn't budge. :(

The double sided tape in mine was very resilient, Marla's guitar plectrum idea is a good one. I'm glad I waited for the new DS tape seal to turn up.

I'll be doing the walk of shame to the iPhone store tomorrow.

I did an experiment.
I went without my phone (I haven't had a watch in decades, unless Diving) - for a whole week.
It does change things considerably.
Then there's that strange perception of a heightened sense of reality. A few months later, I did it again - but this time to see how long I could do it for? I lasted 2 weeks and 3 days.
Suddenly, I see how the whole Mobile Phone 'connectedness' of it all and how it manipulates the lives of people in a considerable way.
But with all things - there's the good and bad side of all things.

Totally. For work my phone is a must have but I'm leaving it in the car more and more these days.

Battery seems good. Would be down to 96% 1/2 hour after full charge. 1 1/2 hours, still 100%.
