Title: The thermoelectric generator - energy from the coo Post by Yadda on Sep 14th, 2019 at 3:56pm The thermoelectric generator - energy from the cool night air "......the invention can be made with $30 of materials found at hardware stores and hobby shops." IMAGE..... Engineers at UCLA and Stanford University have designed a generator that harnesses heat energy from the cool night air to produce renewable electricity. Here it is powering an LED light. The long and the short of it..... The article suggests this device is not really practical [in its present form], as the energy produced from such devices is minuscule. |

These tiny Greeny things tend to be a road to nowhere.
Anywhere where there is a flow of energy from hot to cold will provide a driving force. For example a Stirling Engine, etc. Read all about it here https://www.mpoweruk.com/heat_engines.htm And what is the Seebeck effect and the peltier Effect ? https://instrumentationtools.com/peltier-effect-theory/ |
