Title: Australian, Ace electric vehicles Post by Yadda on Jun 13th, 2019 at 8:47pm Australian, Ace electric vehicles https://www.ace-ev.com.au/ace-cargo/ 1,999px × 727px IMAGE..... Mentioned on a Ch7 news item tonight. Charge at home ?? How much to buy ?? Only 250 km range atm though. ....i could live with a 250 km range atm. They are offering versions as a cargo van, a 'yewt', and a sedan. Promoted as a German developed vehicle, Chinese produce/parts, comes as a 'flat pack', 'put it together' product, delivered in 6 boxes. ??? Looks interesting, if it 'works' as advertised. |

Instead of so called 1500 lousy jobs in the stinken Adani coal mine there are tens of thousands of prospective jobs building these electric vehicles along with the charging infrastructure to go with it but it seems the lying liberal scumbags are not interested in jobs that bypass greed incorporated for their energy needs even though there are a lot more jobs in it :(

Australians only buy imported Japanese or European vehicles. The government learned its lesson with the previous car industry where the subsidy to car manufacturers was more than the jobs were worth. |

The problem with the car industry was the government kept throwing money at foreign corporations with no checks and balances. Who in private enterprise would ever do a deal like this where you have no equity in a business you invest in. Own none of the intellectual property. Own none of the manufacturing equipment or the land it is bolted onto. It was always going to be a bad deal and it was. One other hand this local electric car manufacturer got the bums rush from the then Labor Government who were too busy doling out blank cheques to Detroit and Tokyo :( https://www.smh.com.au/national/electric-car-maker-angry-over-import-deal-20100724-10pr2.html Quote:

And just think coal power is used to recharge these rather useless all electric heaps.
Overload one of electric toys and you will overheat the dangerous fire bomb lithium battery with the very real danger that it will then EXPLODE in a FIERY INFERNO!!!!! Hydrogen does not have any of these overloading problems as it just goes and goes like a diesel. That is why IT IS THE FUEL of the FUTURE. |

How is solar power free when solar panels and batteries cost over $15K? Do you even have a house to put solar panels on? ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D ;D ;D ;D |

Title: Re: Australian, Ace electric vehicles Post by juliar on Jul 1st, 2019 at 7:02pm
Baron, these looney Greeny trolls are incapable of doing the sums about solar.
One poster calculated you need 7 fully charged Tesla PowerWalls to recharge a Tesla overnight. Now as solar only works for a few hours around midday, if the sun is shining, then imagine the HUGE north facing roof covered in many solar panels you would need to charge up the 7 PowerWall batteries!!!!! Tough luck in winter when it is overcast and raining all day and when there is a hail storm and the solar panels get clobbered!!! And in summer during a dry spell when the solar panels get covered in dust and bird droppings!!! These looney Greenies are just so impractical and so technically obtuse. |

A cheap crappy Chinese solar setup might be that cheap it will cost at least double that for quality solar panels and inverter that will last. The Tesla powerwalls are over $10K should we include that cost in your bullshit about free power? |

thank you I've posted about ACE several times and the fact they have a factory now in Adelaide and expect to produce 15,000 to 25,000 vehicles a year -- most of which they expect will be sold overseas and the founder has mentioned in several interviews that he has been shown ZERO interest or encouragement OR money from out great government because we don't need industry, right. And we don't need job creation here in the lucky-country |

when it comes to jobs both sides of grubbernment are very selective. They always talk about jobs but it's not just any job. The grubbernent would prefer people to have jobs scraping off plates in a cafeteria or cleaning toilets rather than a job building electric cars. And Labor is no better :( https://www.smh.com.au/national/electric-car-maker-angry-over-import-deal-20100724-10pr2.html Quote:

The loony Greenies are becoming restless as they follow me around like lost puppies because they idolize the ground I walk on.
In the mean time canny Australians avoid the dangerous unsafe pollution spewing inconvenient electric toy cars which can't do a day's work without the dangerous lithium fire bomb overheating and possibly exploding!!!! Diesel and petrol will dominant until HYDROGEN takes over. Now watch the loony Greenies fall out of their trees. |

Let's face it … Aussies cannot afford any new cars being ground into dust by the sitting govt. and its Labor assistants Car sales down across the board Retail wetting itself because consumers have learned to not consume Travel ads everywhere … but when they come back the bills will still be there and people have learned and we're paying a dozen kings' ransom every hour on all the money 'our' governments plural, have borrowed. 'Our' debt is a third or more of that saddling the US … except our population, even rising by thousands a day, is one fifteenth that of the US electric cars? people are struggling to buy mince |

Title: Re: Australian, Ace electric vehicles Post by juliar on Jul 9th, 2019 at 11:08am
Good point there by mince meat.
But there are still an awful lot of new cars running around on the streets. So someone must be doing all right. On news said that old cars are involved in a lot of accidents because they are cheap to buy but don't have such good safety features in the advent of an accident. On the other hand the older cars were built to last while the new ones are built to fall apart as soon as possible. |
