Great to see young Ash Barty doing so well and pulling off her maiden Grand Slam winning the French Open at Roland Garros.
Well done and an admirable comeback ... for the young QUEENSLANDER. It makes a pleasant change to hear/see something good for Australian tennis instead of the usual puerile histrionics from Kyrgios and Tomic. Both should take a lesson from Ash Barty about dedication, behaviour and sportsmanship. |

seems leaving tennis for cricket after winning wimbledon jnrs has done wonders for her.
maybe some of the young guys should take note and also take a break from tennis before their ego overtakes their skill. Kyrios and Tomic both had huge potential, but their egos got the better of them. What a waste of talent. |

Title: Re: A fresh change for Australian Tennis Post by greggerypeccary on Jun 11th, 2019 at 9:49am I haven't followed tennis for the last few years, because there are just too many dickheads involved, and too many manufactured dramas. Subsequently, I had never heard of this girl until yesterday. She seems to have her head screwed on right. Well done, and good luck to her. |

Certainly Australian, but hard to tell if she's Aboriginal or not |

She has Aboriginal blood in her background.
It's still not relevant to her win or the way she carries herself on the court or in her public life. If she decides it is then that's her business. |
