My crime in my youth was to be an Arsonist.

Lack of wind will give lack of burn. You want a good burn to get rid of the fuel load. Burning back into the wind lets a downwind fire advance to meet it. The back burn will usually stop a jumpover. You usually light it well in advance of the other at a natural barrier such as a road, creek line or fire break.

Edit: Of course it also works where it is the only fire.

I never did get that Mexican thing for Victoria/Victorians?  :-? Yeah - like what's with that? I lived there for 7 years - never saw a Mexican. Obviously if they are that poor and desperate - they can't afford a boat or smuggler's fee to come to Victoria?
