There are a lot of great paintings/artworks, I can't say which one is my favorite as they are all different in their own way.

'Anguish', by August Friedrich Albrecht SCHENCK.

You'll find it in the NGV, in Melbourne.

Yeah.

I think I told you about the time I was sitting on the seat looking at it, and a class of school kids came in.

When the teacher was describing the scene to the kids, she had a tear in her eye and her voice was wavering.

Then some of the kids were a little upset.

Every time I go to Melbourne, I pop in for a quick look.

Art is wonderful.

That rings a bell.

And art is indeed wonderful. One of the few things Adelaide is good for. We've a great art scene.

True.

I used to visit lots of great little galleries in the mid '80s (I'd go over every year for the Grand Prix).

I must go back and visit some day.

The Last Supper (1498) – Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci is now renowned as the prime example of the “Universal Genius” due to his accomplishments in a wide variety of fields. However for four centuries after his death, his fame rested primarily on his laurels as a painter. His most famous artistic achievement after the Mona Lisa, this painting represents the scene of The Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. In it, Leonardo masterfully depicts the bewilderment and confusion that occurs among the disciples of Jesus when he announces that one of them would betray him. Leonardo’s detailed knowledge of anatomy, light, botany and geology; his interest in how humans register emotion in expression and gesture; and his subtle gradation of tone; all come together to make this painting among the most revered and famous religious paintings of all time. Some people believe that the person to the right of Jesus in the painting is not John the Apostle, but a woman named Mary Magdalene. This belief plays a central role in Dan Brown’s fiction novel The Da Vinci Code.

Notice the V-shaped gap or divide between Mary Magdalene and Jesus? I mean - who really betrayed Jesus? My money is on Mary having done the deed.

Messiahs (Gays) and Prophets (Rednecks) always have a 'female' issue.

No. I mean - that's where the 'division' starts. See how its like between Mary & Jesus, things are pushed aside.
There is no 'love' between Man and Woman, in the mind of Jesus.

Them were the days of real Warrior/Hunting.

These days the Military are all NERDS - hiding behind walls in far parts beyond the enemy's sight and just pressing buttons and pulling their little triggers and sending 'machines' in to do the fighting.

The Moslems call the Americans "The Terminators".
