Title: Is Credit Card - Travel Insurance any good?
Post by Redmond Neck on Mar 8th, 2019 at 3:35pm
Firstly I have grave doubts about all travel insurance being much good but have wondered if the ones included on credit cards is legit!

I had a brief look today at NAB cards and I gather the insurance applies as long as you pay for all or some of the trip with that card.

Your thoughts ?

It's all legit.

These are the conditions for mine:

- You’re travelling to an overseas destination and have a return ticket booked before leaving Australia

- You spend at least AUD500 per person on prepaid travel costs such as your tickets, airport taxes or accommodation

- You pay these costs using your eligible credit card and/or by redeeming Bankwest More Rewards points.

Overseas travel insurance covers incidents such as:

Overseas hospitalisation
Medical emergencies
Baggage loss and theft
Baggage delays
Cancellation costs
Emergency dental costs
Rental vehicle insurance excess, and
Accidental death.

So does it cover your partner if you pay for both on your single card?
