Title: Palmer's add on Chinese Airstrip Pilbara spot on Post by red baron on Feb 12th, 2019 at 2:03pm
Never thought I would see the day I supported Clive Palmer
But his add on the Chinese Airstrip in the Pilbara is spot on An ex R.A.A.F. Squadron Leader said the landing strips are similar to R.A.A.F landing fields and fighters could be landed there easily from Chinese Aircraft Carriers He further said that the Chinese owned Port Preston in W.A. Chinese would be ideally situation to supply logistical support The matter of the Chinese being allowed to buy Australian Ports and vast tracts of Australian land is a national disgrace I WILL vote for the Party that seeks to outlaw this practice Our national security is at stake And with Xe Ping in a militarised state of mind we had better be bloodywell careful An article from the Australian Circa 2017 follows: Merredin airport in western Australia is effectively under the control of a Chinese government enterprise, prompting outrage in aviation circles, as safety concerns shut down its pilot training school. The airports’ runways, control tower, hangars and all it’s assets are 50 per cent owned, and may soon be fully owned, by China’s biggest airline, state-owned China Southern Airlines. In 1993, the3 secretive company quietly paid $1 to the WA government to lease the airport for 100 years to use as a base to train thousands of Chinese pilots for employment in the world’s fastest growing aviation market. In recent years it has owned the flight school with Canadian company CAE. So far, more than 2000 pilots have graduated from the facility, making it China Southern Airlines’ biggest training base in the world. For an Australian town’s sole airstrip to be effectively controlled by the Chinese government is unusual. Anyone wishing to land at the aerodrome, 260 km east of Perth, must seek approval from the flying school. Locals say permission has never been denied, but aviation veterans and businessman Dick Smith believes the airport should not be owned by a foreign company of government. “It is outrageous that an Aussie pilot can’t go to a country airport without getting approval from the Chinese to land there,” he said. “I’ve never heard of this happening anywhere.” In recent months, however, the Chinese flying school has suspended its operations in WA after the Civil Aviation Safety Authority raised safety concerns. Aviation industry sources say the company has continued to pay millions of dollars in wages – without any students – since March this year. One source said he believed a dispute between Guangzhou-based China Southern Airlines and CAE could lead to China Southern taking full ownership of the flying school within months. A spokesman for China Southern West Australian Flying College declined to comment. Merredin Shire president Ken Hooper said nobody in town had been able to find out when the flying school would reopen. “Its quite important to our economy here but we just can’t get any information,” he said. A CASA spokesman said the regulator would not publically discuss details of it’s dealings with aviation organisations unless serious action was taken, such as suspending or cancelling a certificate. “CASA and China Southern have been working to address identified safety and regulatory issues over a period of time,” the spokesman said. “CASA is hopeful that China Southern can meet all requirements as soon as possible.” There is a broader concern in the aviation industry about growing foreign ownership and control of pilot training schools in Australia. With a looming shortage of commercial pilots predicted, there are fears Australia will have to import pilots while foreign-controlled pilot schools in this country send their graduates to China and elsewhere in Asia. At the same time, flight schools claim they are being crippled by skyrocketing costs and over-regulation. The Port of Darwin, the Aussie cattle industry, now an Aussie airport controlled by China? 27th Dec 2017, 05:56 |

Yep. I'm pretty sure I launched a thread here a month or so ago about this very issue/airport
Why bother with aussie security forces when the chinese can fly in an out any time they like Dick Smith and Clive Palmer won't last forever. Who'll step up to take their place? which is why I advocate our extending an invitation to China to assume control of Oz and stop all the pretence Advantages include the immediate sacking of the GRUBS who posture in Australia as government, opposition and politicians additional savings would come in the form of asian crap being produced in oz, so no more freight. And there might even be a couple of jobs going for aussies if china bases production here and exports to the rest of the west the chinese would clean this place up. Africans and other problematic imports would make one mistake and they'd be gone -- pet food. Pornographers and their client bases -- pet food. Union grubs -- pet food there would be NO more boats or asylum seeking freeloaders or migrants of any kind china has a lot to offer Oz. We should be seriously thinking about inviting them to take over |

I had the same initial reaction myself.... though I deeply distrust Clive Palmer.... but he seems to be the only one prepared to speak out about what are genuine concerns for many outside of government.... Who is monitoring their employees flying in and out in 'essential' jobs that no Australian can fill? Just an example... Who is monitoring what they actually develop on these strips? This Chinese expansionism is startlingly reminiscent of the Japanese expansionism in the early 1930s (and a lot like confrontation for the Indonesians) ... when Japan wanted permission to build a steel manufacturing plant in the Pilbara.... same approach - take over islands/atolls and develop airfields as a 'defensive perimeter', as a precursor to naked aggression in areas where they think the West will not notice or care..... Vietnam, Laos, maybe India... the West offered a deafening silence when Tibet was invaded in 1956.... why would they care about Vietnam and Laos? Appeasement will not work...... our governments thinking they can 'game' the Chinese government in its expansionist policies is pissing into the hurricane and is only encouraging aggression currently low-key but definitely present in their military.... I stipulate that I like Chinese, but again, as many times before, their government sucks...... BTW - the Chinese have one carrier nearly finished... they claim super-stealth fighters for it.... I give it twenty minutes in the battlesphere with the US Navy/Air Force. The Chinese military are trying stand-over with the Philippines and all their neighbours.... Japan is playing it close to the chest but is a sleeping dragon about to awake... playing for time by licencing Japanese autos and such to the Chinese oligarchy..... |

Suimat for yez t' think about:-
Let us look at one of those nations that has ‘’succeeded’ in establishing “equality’ across the board – Russia. Russian women are “equal’’ in the ultra-socialist mold – they have equal ‘rights’ as far as that goes, and so forth. Nowadays the majority of doctors are women.. as in certain other strands of discipline…. leading us to the conclusion that either women are more competent, intelligent etc – something demonstrably untrue – or that men have somehow been short-changed and sidelined by this Brave New Social Change. In any case – the end result is easy to see – ALL of the ruling oligarchy in Russia are MEN – their wives etc are adjuncts to the essential power base of MEN. What that means is that, quite simply, all the enforced moves to equalise women have lead to an actual diminution in the power of the ordinary man as a FIRST step in establishing power and control by the oligarchy….. the second phase was, once women had been “equalised” to the detriment of men and of basic rights…. They were equally effectively sidelined to make way for the oligarchy or SOME men. What you now see in Russia (and China) is men without power holding menial jobs in the main, and a persistence of the ages-old elder abuse of women, with grandmothers “earning” their state pension by sweeping snow from the streets….. and the vast majority of women remaining in menial and often subservient positions in all ways – including a thriving human body trade. What this means is that the 'rights' of the majority exist in theory (let's all agree that you have the right to have rights), but that those rights – to participate in a meaningful and mutually equally beneficial way in their own country – do not exist, and the majority are subject to the same old things that have persisted for centuries... they can be arrested and charged and at that point you will see how much their legal rights actually mean – they get to work and exist, but that's it... they do not get to share in the opulent lifestyle of the ruling oligarchy, but must perforce, live off the crumbs. Pretty much the same could be said of China and other “ultra-socialist” nations, including some in SE Asia, for example Vietnam, where countless young women are happy to accept a much older Western man in the pursuit for a better life, while a ruling oligarchy, which takes over the reins of government for its own self-promotion and benefit, does it very well, thank you. Removal of men as the base of power was (and is) the first step in The Agenda, to the end of establishing what inevitably becomes a despotic society and economy controlled utterly by and for the benefit of a very few at the top. As I said once before... once the armour of protection of women in everyday life – their men – is removed – women are helpless and must surrender to any major force that comes along.... My point here is that the canny and perceptive can see readily the comparisons and see where our society is going to end up - IF we permit it... all these 'issues' that keep surfacing are just another thrust by the oligarchy, which includes the Government of Two Parties bent on self-0interest first and foremost, to reduce the power and personal sovereignty of the individual, starting with Men, who have always been the ones to stand against such things and reject despotism and a medieval form of rule by a self-appointed bunch of upstarts. |

I printed that article to give the background of how this got off the ground (pardon the pun)
But you don't have to be Einstein to realise that the Chinese have a Port (Port Preston) for supplies and a landing field 30 clicks away, if they want to invade our west Careful what you wish for huh? Prior to the second world war the free countries of Europe and Britain stood by whilst Hitler rearmed Germany Is there not a parallel in what China is doing right now? Within 5 years China will have outstripped the U.S.A. in every facet of their armed forces Are out leaders f.....g stupid? |
