Title: 10 kids
Post by Gordon on Jan 10th, 2019 at 2:01pm
I guess like the other one, she probably just didn't notice them.

These kids need to be stolen from their incompetent parents.

I was hitch-hiking out from Lightning Ridge to Coffs, via Wilcania. A Van full of a local 'mob' family pull up, slide open their door and invite me in. There was at least 14 in the back and 3 in the front seat. Everyone was double-seated with the smallest on the laps of the bigger teens. A 16 year old teen got up to let me sit there and she sat instantly on my lap without a concern in the world. I was somewhat over-awed by the whole moment of all these kids having a laugh, full of humor and somewhat interested in what I had to say. I just sat there with the young teen on my lap. She seemed lost in thought - so I deemed it best not disturb her in any way and got lost myself in a conversation about cars with some others.

Such was I grateful for the lift that I always 'pay my way' - afterall, something 'better' was in Australia before Uber was even thought of.

Not enough information, Gordon. You didn't say what race she was.

Senior Constable First Class Ivan Petrovic slammed the driver's actions.

"How someone can knowingly drive a vehicle in which their passengers are unrestrained is beyond me," he said.

Perhaps someone should introduce him to a vehicle called a "bus"  :D ;D

Buses now have seat belts ... even hotel & club courtesy buses.

Some do, but the vast majority operating as public transport don't. You don't even have to have a seat.

Do you have stats on public transport without seat belts? I don't but it would be nice to know the death and injury toll of not having them before I take a side.
