Title: Are we witnessing free speech, in Iran ? Post by Yadda on May 20th, 2018 at 11:20am Are we witnessing a true 'example' of free speech, in Iran ? And is it likely, that this exponent of free speech, in Iran, can remain free, himself ? Iranian professor [political science], Sadegh Zibakalam, is now publicly questioning why his country has been involved in military action against the Jewish state. An Iranian court has already sentenced this professor to 18 months in prison for spreading “false information” and “propaganda against the Islamic Republic” over remarks in a previous interview, with a German news program. [Sadegh Zibakalam is currently appealing that sentence] Quote:
A very interesting and unusual article. Can this man 'prosper' and 'flourish', within the Islamic Republic of Iran ? Or will this small 'flower' of open expression, be, simply, trampled upon ? |
