WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS SICK CULT??????
FRENCH Interior Minister Gerard Collomb has confirmed three people were killed and up to 16 injured in a terror inspired hostage situation at a supermarket in southern France. The hostages were taken Friday morning local time, by a gunman named as Redouane Lakdim, a small time drug dealer. It is reported 26-year-old Lakdim, a French citizen born in Morocco, hijacked a car, injuring the driver and shooting the passenger in the head, near the popular tourist location of Carcassonne. He is then thought to have fired on four police officers who were out jogging, wounding one in the shoulder, before driving to the nearby town of Trebes where he took up to 50 people hostage in a supermarket. Gunman shot dead in French supermarket ‘terror attack’ THREE people have been killed and 16 injured after a gunman claiming allegiance to IS was shot dead by police in France. Police Operation Underway at French Supermarket Amid Reports of Hostage Situation FRENCH Interior Minister Gerard Collomb has confirmed three people were killed and up to 16 injured in a terror inspired hostage situation at a supermarket in southern France. Two people were killed in the supermarket, local media reports. Some of the hostages had escaped while lakdim was inside and the majority of others were later released with one military officer trading himself for a female hostage. “He saved lives and did honour to his corps and his country,” French president Emmanuel Macron said after a meeting with Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and security officials. “Now he is fighting against death and all our thoughts are with him and his family.” Portugal’s government said Friday that a Portuguese citizen was one of the three people killed in a jihadist shooting spree in southwest France. “The death of a Portuguese citizen has been confirmed ... by French authorities to our consular services,” Miguel Silva, a spokesman for the department concerned with Portuguese living abroad, told AFP. Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the victim in a statement published late Friday on the presidency website. Le Parisian reports Lakdim was known to authorities and carried out the deadly attack after dropping his little sister at school. Neighbours said the young man who lived with his parents and three sisters seemed “calm” and “nice”. The 26-year-old is said to have demanded the release of Paris attacker, Salah Abdesalam, according to BFM TV. Moroccan-Belgian national Abdeslam is the prime surviving suspect in the attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. Trebes mayor, Eric Menassi, also told French television that the man entered the shop yelling: “Allahu Akbar, I’ll kill you all”. French President Emmanual Macron said “everything leads us to believe it is a terror attack” and French prosecutors say they are treating the hostage-taking as a terror incident. Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said all information suggested it “seems to be a terrorist act.” EU leaders also expressed solidarity with France, with European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker saying: “France has again been hit by a cowardly and bloody act, after having previously been hit hard by terrorism.” |

Poor victim - he was alienated and radicalised by French society that took him in and fed and nurtured him in a way he could not dream of back 'home'. Now they've martyred him.
Must be time to stop Muslim immigration, and it seems Bridget Bardot was right. |

Gandalf used to literally try to explain all this with his 'alienation' theory. But he has not pedaled that one for a few years now.

Four killed and sixteen wounded. The French President said it was Islamist, the gunman said so too. How much proof do you need? Of course his close family and associates had no idea.
Since 2015, Muzlims have murdered 240 people in France. I don't know how many they have maimed. Of course, Bardot is just a silly old woman to those who have trouble with the math. |

Seems she was right, and she has to live with it. but some people are more focused on deriding the looks of an 84 year old than the issues she is trying to raise. |

French officer who offered himself for a hostage in supermarket attack dies Nicole Chavez, associate writer CNN Digital By Nicole Chavez, CNN Updated 0620 GMT (1420 HKT) March 24, 2018 (CNN)A French police officer who asked a gunman to let him take the place of a hostage in a supermarket attack has died. The attacker killed two people and wounded more than a dozen others when he took hostages in a supermarket in the French city of Trèbes on Friday. Before the gunman raided the supermarket, he had killed one other person while stealing a car. Lt. Col. Arnaud Beltrame was shot during the supermarket attack and hospitalized. French interior minister, Gerard Collomb, announced his death in a tweet Saturday. "France will never forget his heroism, his bravery, his sacrifice," Collomb said. Beltrame offered to exchange himself for one of the female hostages held inside the Super U supermarket during the attack, and was shot while entering the supermarket. When he went inside the supermarket, he left his phone on so police could hear his interactions with the gunman, Collomb said. As soon as they heard gunfire, police went in and killed the gunman. |

Yesterday marked the 8th anniversary of the ISIS terrorist killing of Colonel Arnaud Beltrame in France. He volunteered to exchange himself for a young female hostage held by a jihadist gunman at the Trèbes supermarket in Southern France. The jihadist shot him before police stormed the building. He deliberately sacrificed his own life for a stranger.
