I can't find Melbourne's official figures but
it seems like it hasn't rained here for 6 to 8 weeks.

We're in a drought & all the grass down
every street is brown.

Hurry up and rain.

The reason I'm fooling about here so much today is that it's raining.
The mini-drought has definitely come to an end - Hallelujah!
Too late to get much growth now though, but the upside is less mowing.

yet Qld once again is flood bound.... ::) ::)sadly they dont share their rain though do they?...

we are at least overcast today.. no rain in sight but the temp has dropped   not sure for how long..it can rain quite heavy on one side of Canberra and the other side get zilch.

Oh, of course they do cods!!!

They often share plenty of their rainfall, with many of those    illegal    irrigators [water thieves] who are situated beside the Murray river, in NSW.

That is really sad. We have barely had any rain apart from northern, northwestern, and southeast Qld. Rockhampton had 210mm of rain to this day. That is 170mm below average. But up 70mm for this time of year.

Just today, there was an article about how some places missed out on considerable rain, after Higgins Storm Chasing overexaggerated the rainfall amounts for regions. I am very sure that Qld is not a flooded state for this time of year, even for regions that have had good rainfall. But I sincerely think you should consider that other states have had more rain than what Qld has received.
