just recently I was sickened to learn that the two worst days in australia for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is

Boxing Day = #1

and

Australia Day = #2

hearing that I couldn't help but feel almost "ashamed" to be an Australian.... I dunno... maybe Embarrassed about it...

maybe I like to see the Good in People and not the bad...

at those times for me are always times of happiness... family... good times...

enjoying a few beers without going stupid.. chill out.. relax and be happy... having laughs...

so I don't understand it...

my wife works in a job whereby they've moved buildings and now she can (at times) hear the police scanner....

the majority of calls going out are DOMESTIC VIOLENCE...

geess it pisses me off...

If those numbers get your heart racing then you don't want to know how many rock spiders are living in your area. My father inlaws best mate is an ex cheif superintendent. Very startling just how many humans are fkked in the head and it isn't getting better. They're walking amongst us every day. That is why I never take face value on anyone. I don't let many people into my family's lives. It's not worth the risk. Keep em all at arms length.

I see, Mechanic, that you've fallen for the twin wings of the flights of fancy propaganda surrounding 'domestic violence' - that men are the primary perpetrators and that all call outs are for ACTUAL violence when in reality they are often simple disagreements between two alleged adults, and one has been told she can get her way by calling the cops instead of behaving like a rational adult.
