Remember the little gollywog badges that came with jars of Robinson's Jam?

Well, I suppose the Nazi swastika started out innocently enough but later became a symbol of evil. Same with the gollywog. Them's the breaks. |

Check this insanity out-
Argos branded racist for selling white dolls for £10 more than black and Asian ones All three dolls are exactly the same except for their skin colour The Corolle Calin Maria Doll sells for £34.99 at Argos Photo: Argos By Victoria Ward 8:21AM GMT 22 Jan 2015 Argos has been branded "racist" after selling white dolls for £10 more than their equivalent black and Asian ones. The shop is selling a white Maria doll for £34.99 while the Asian Yang doll and the black Namia doll are both £24.99. All three dolls are made by French firm Corolle Calin and are identical bar the colour on their skin. Lisa O'Reilly, a mother-of-three complained to Argos, branding the price discrepancy "unacceptable". Argos apologised and blamed "a genuine online pricing error". In a letter, it added: "I am sorry to read that you are offended by the price difference between the Maria, Yang and Naima Corolle Calin Dolls and I can assure you that Argos would never intentionally upset or offend our customers in any way." A spokeswoman said Argos "strongly refuted" any suggestion of discrimination. "A genuine online pricing error led to one of the dolls being advertised at an incorrect price," she said. "This error is being amended today and all three dolls are now priced at £24.99. We apologise for any confusion caused." Miss O'Reilly, 32, from South Killingholme, Lincolnshire, told The Sun: "It's wrong for our youngsters to grow up thinking non-white skin colours are worth less. The Asian version of the doll, the Corolle Calin Yang, is a bargain at £24.99 "There's enough prejudice in the world already without battling against racist toys." Corolle Calin prices all three dolls at £23 on its own website. The 30cm doll is described by Argos as "the ideal first baby doll for the littlest mommies ages 18 months and up." It says: " She has a cuddly soft beanbag body, so she can be posed like a real baby, and supple skin that is delicately scented with vanilla." In 2010, the Early Learning Centre removed pigs from a farm set in 2010 over fears of upsetting Muslim or Jewish mums. They were later reinstated — except in the Middle East. And in 2013 Jabba the Hutt's Lego palace was withdrawn after Turkish leaders in Austria said the Star Wars toy resembled the Hagia Sophia mosque in Istanbul. |

Never owned one. No relations or friends of mine ever owned one. Just how popular they were or are is debateable. Don't care either way don't associate them with real people... |

I saw a Gollywog doll in Hong Kong last month. What's the big fuss? They are just toys.
I even bought myself a "Jet Black Heart" stout last week in a pub from a barman who happened to be black. I wonder if he even thought about the connotations of that? I doubt it. I certainly didn't. It was a great beer though. There are those people in life who agonise over such things. They usually have too much time on their hands. |

I know a teacher who said that she was under orders
from the school principle to remove all Golliwog books from the school library and burn them in the school incinerator. She followed the instructions. That was about 20 years ago. |

Aye - let the Kaffirs have some of their own back for a change....
I sense a change in the wind over 'race relations' in this nation..... How prophetic it was when I said that Tony Abbott's government would be a watershed in many ways..... the people are more and more rejecting the idiocy that passes for discussion and discourse over issues.... and the subjugation of the majority of Australians to the violent threats to burn the place down or chop some heads or kick up a stink in some way or many, unless they are handed their demands. Jesus Christ - Hitler would throw a tantrum and the world would raise its arse and drop its dacks..... and now we, as a nation, do it every time some d1ckhead with a violent rhetoric and selfish agenda comes along and offers us an ultimatum. Since when did we start negotiating with terrorists and their demands? :-? |

Ima not saying the Jews don't have a valid point to make but so do African slaves, and far more of them perished at the hands of whitey than Jews perished under the swastika.

Gollywogs are cute-and-cuddly, but don't hang one from your car's rear-view mirror next to the mashallah pendant or air-freshener.
Somebody might get the wrong idea, especially if you're driving around Melbourne, in which case you'll have to rig your car with an anti-Apex device ... link |

Reminds me of this rubbish-
wiki- Asshole tries to get Coon Cheese banned. The accuracy of the account of the origin of the brand name has been challenged by anti-racism campaigner Stephen Hagan. In spite of much contrary evidence, Hagan claims he has been unable to find evidence that Edward Coon was a famous cheese maker, contending that the name came instead from a black wraparound in which it was originally sold.[12] In 2008 he was reported to be "questioning the makers of Coon cheese about the origin of the brand name". Hagan claimed that Edward Coon was an obscure factory hand who was induced to subscribe his name to the patent for cheese manufacture, yet had no explanation for Edward Coon's ownership of many dairy factories.[13] Because of the lack of evidence, Hagan's claims have been dropped. |

I bet it's the same luvies that allow more gollywogs into our country to go on raids across our cities.
I'd rather have the dolls than them. The luvies need to be shut down. Hopefully sooner rather than latter. |
