I dont know this is way over reaction.  So this is China's first overseas military base, and the papers are claiming its 'flexing' military muscles.  On the other hand, the USA have over 800 overseas bases, then would that be a generalized convulsion of military muscles?

It's 2017 and the 54 countries of Continental Africa still produce nothing invented or made for the world markets or for the benefit of mankind.

There should be a Statute of Limitations wherein if continental-sized conglomerate of nations fail to produce anything worthwhile for the benefit of mankind they are then open season for invasion by the more advanced civilisations.

Europeans tried that in the 15th and 16th century. They built towns that grew into cities. They produced crops in Africa to feed their own and the European community. They set up roads, railway, electricity and eventually sewerage treatment. The businesses grew and expanded. This was all happening when the Europeans were all developing this in Europe simulataneously.

Then the WW2 happened, and this caused independence movements in Africa, where the Africans wanted to take control of what the Europeans built for them. 30 years after the last countries got their independence, African countries are on their way back to barbarism. Talk to the South African expatriates about the reason why they left South Africa. They will tell you that the blacks let things fall apart, even with efforts not to let that happen by many.

Mahatma Gandhi spent some years as a young lawyer in Africa, after which he eventually returned to his native India having referred to Africans as chronically 'lazy'.

(At that time the term 'racist' had not yet been tweaked by the Leftwing luvvies at 'Oxford Press' where their job is to constantly update the Oxford Dictionary.

Racism still referred to colour and defining physical features only, and not to culture, religion, and what star sign you belonged to as the liberal-progressives have it now).

I remember very well watching the ceremonies on TV where the British flag was lowered and the national flags were raised to dancing and singing in the streets. I had wished them well while I watching this series of transitions, but sad to say that in most cases gangster families rose to the top of the political heap and have remained there ever since.

I am actually old enough to remember apartheid in South Africa. Though I would have probably know 1/1000th the knowledge of apartheid a South African my age who lived it, I knew enough about it to know that the system was set up to protect a white minority in that country.

I grew up watching movies like The Power of One and Lethal Weapon 2, where they completely demonise the system. But it takes movies like "Chappie" and "District 9" where they show how run down the cities of South Africa have become, even when the movie was not focussing on South Africa as a storyline.

Twenty something years after the Rugby World Cup in South Africa, things have gone from "okay" to "bad". It will have to be a matter of swallowing their pride and doing away with some stupid affirmative action system before they find out that you don't reward people based on race. Black people were always poor. They just felt that white people having things were a matter of them taking from black people.
