The American Civil Liberties Union, along with the Coalition Against Sexual Assault, is opposing a bill to criminalise Female Genital Mutilation in the state of Maine.
It is already a crime in 24 states and federally, but there don't seem to be enough federal prosecutors to handle more than a few reported cases.

So whose liberties do these people stand up for? Not those of the young girls who are barbarically assaulted for cultural and/or religious reasons apparently.
