Title: Favourite Trump Lies
Post by AiA on May 12th, 2017 at 4:54am
Donald J Trump has a lie du jour. There are so many we just can't keep up! Obama's birth certificate is a classic - he rode it all the way to the White House. But my favourite Trump lie is that as many as 5 million people voted illegally in the 2016 presidential election - with no proof of this at all. So what does he do today? He is establishing a commission to get to the bottom of his election fraud conspiracy theory. I look forward to their (lack of) findings.

Anyone else?

Whoa! I spoke too soon. Look! BREAKING NEWS! The Trump administration has just released conclusive evidence that proves there was massive voter fraud in the 2016 election that cost the POTUS the popular vote! Guess I was wrong ...

I seem to remember reading where they thought Obamas birth cert was a fake...... lets be honest it took him ages to come up with it..if he had asked Trump for his birth cert.. it would have been there the next day...

same with most people......but Obama  it seemed to be a long time before we saw anything....... ::) ::)

I dont think hes Mr Squeaky clean at all...but he is black. 8-)

So many lies to choose from.

This one stands out:

“I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

Another memorable lie from the Donald:

"I am not an elephant! I am not an animal! I am a human being! I... am... a man!"

How about the campaign promise of "Healthcare for everybody" while the Trumpcare bill will leave millions without healthcare ...

Not a bad idea.

Donald Trump confounded The Economist when he claimed during an interview with the magazine that he came up with the phrase "priming the pump" — a popular economic metaphor that predates his birth.

The US President was discussing how he's OK with his plan to reduce taxes increasing the deficit in the short term, because it would increase revenue over time.

This was the exchange:

Mr Trump: We have to prime the pump.
The Economist: It's very Keynesian.
Mr Trump: We're the highest-taxed nation in the world. Have you heard that expression before, for this particular type of an event?
The Economist: Priming the pump?
Mr Trump: Yeah, have you heard it?
The Economist: Yes.
Mr Trump: Have you heard that expression used before? Because I haven't heard it. I mean, I just ... I came up with it a couple of days ago and I thought it was good. It's what you have to do.
The Economist: It's...
Mr Trump: Yeah, what you have to do is you have to put something in before you can get something out.
Eyebrows were raised at Mr Trump's suggestion that he came up with the phrase a couple days ago because

It's an old and common phrase
It's probably not the sort of metaphor you'd come up with in modern society
Oh, and Mr Trump himself has used the phrase before. "Sometimes you have to prime the pump," he told Time magazine in an interview last year.

Incredible.

"The thing is, really smart people don't have to lie: Either they have the courage of their convictions, the intelligence to think through the consequences before they act and/or they don't tend to screw up stuff that's easy to not screw up (like firing the head of the FBI in the midst of his investigation into connections between members of your campaign and elements of the Russian government)."

"Lying is something you do, or feel you have to do, because you're a little bit dumb – or maybe just a little 'poorly educated' ".

Trump is an incredibly ignorant and poorly educated fool. He seems to have learned that:
1) 'health care is hard'
2) 'government is big'
3) that there was a civil war

it just goes on and one.  He is a retard.

Just this week:

PRESIDENT Donald Trump has taken credit for coining the phrase “priming the pump” — an expression that dates back to the 19th century and is commonly used in economics.

“Have you heard that expression used before? Because I haven’t heard it. I mean, I just ... I came up with it a couple of days ago and I thought it was good. It’s what you have to do,” the 70-year-old told The Economist in a new interview, according to The New York Post.

“Yeah, what you have to do is you have to put something in before you can get something out,” he said, explaining the concept.

It is a disgrace that my full Cabinet is still not in place, the longest such delay in the history of our country. Obstruction by Democrats!

he took forever to actually nominate people and a lot of them quit even before being confirmed.  and he is still supposed to nominate about 500 other people.
