Title: When something's wrong I say its wrong - Trump
Post by red baron on May 7th, 2017 at 8:25am
I squirmed in my chair when I saw the report of the meeting between Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and President Donald Trump at the Battle of the Coral Sea celebrations

Malcolm Turnbull was scheduled to have a two hour meeting with Donald Trump

Then because of 'circumstances' the meeting was cut down

Eventually Malcolm Turnbull got all of half an hour with Trump. Donald Trump raved about our great friendship and glad handed Turnbull. Malcolm Turnbull lapped it up and put on a brave face...what else could he do. He must have felt embarrassed as hell

I tell you one thing Donald you don't sh.t on your best friend. And Australia is the best friend America ever had. You treated out Leader like sh.t and it therefore goes that you treated the people of Australia like sh.t by definition.

When your best friend travels half way round the world to talk to you..you don't sh.t on them and deal out a half an hour meeting

Get can get well and truly Donald, you are starting to believe your own publicity

I have been one of your strongest supporters but I'm not going to sit back and watch you sh.t on our Country. F....k off!

The Trumptards are slowly starting to understand the truth about the bloated, orange, alleged child rapist.

Took 'em long enough.

'Mr Beazley said the distance between New York and Washington could be logistically difficult and the healthcare bill was a "reasonably good" excuse.

He also said it could make the President much warmer during the meeting.

"I think it probably puts Trump somewhat on the back foot in dealing with Turnbull, so it may make him a much more amenable dialogue partner when he finally turns up," he said.

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten said the delay was a bad look.

"I didn't like the look of our Prime Minister being kept waiting for three hours," he said.

"But I guess there's not much you can do about that."

The passing of the new health care bill was a huge morale-booster and triumph for Trump, and so I think he can be forgiven somewhat.

However, Trump's handshake with Turnbull displayed poor form when he quickly looked away from a smiling Turnbull with no smile of his own, upon which moment Turnbull dropped his own smile like a hot brick.

The body language was not good.

That doesn't augur well for our future relationship with the Trump admin., but perhaps Trump will redeem himself if and when he visits Australia.

I'm reserving my opinion of him until we see more of him in the coming years.

Churchill said that great leaders are usually not very good people.

Heeeeeere we go again.

Assume the dancing position with Mothra, Codsey, so that post after post between you two - extending perhaps into pages - hijacks this thread with personal invective and tit-for-tat inanities.

Unfortunately for Australia, Trump only has eyes for dictators... From Putin to el Sisi, to Erdogan, Duterte and Kim Jong-un, Trump has a passion for them all.

Australia, in the mind of someone so inclined, is weakened by our 'slavish' respect for US-birthed democratic ideals.

But, above all, we are, to Trump, small and insignificant... And its all he can do to repress his inclination to disabuse us of our collective delusion of being 'family' and 'highly regarded' by the US.

The very word 'politics' assumes the practitioners employ every degree of falsehood and deceit to achieve their purposes.

The bombing of Pearl Harbour is a classic case in point where the US president and Britain's Churchill conspired to let the bombing happen so that it would bring the Americans into the war.

I guess Roosevelt and Churchill, being consummate and experienced politicians, knew well that truth was to be a respected 'enemy' against the greater good of a 'noble lie'. It's capacity and inclination to out the liar at its best opportunity was, no doubt, well understood by these true statesmen.

...   errrr, yes.

Roosevelt presided over an America that was dead-set against an overseas military commitment to fighting Hitler while Hitler posed no military threat to the US.

'Pearl Harbour' was just the catalyst needed to rouse the indignation of the American public to the degree that it then demanded retribution against the Japs and its allies.

Thought you had gone out!  How dare you catch me bitching about you when you said you were out.  Sneaky Agnes!  That's worse than making and allowing crap comments about me at your place where I cannot respond because you don't 'like' me.

I am a very long way from passive aggressive, Agnes.

I call spades spades.

Every single thing Cods has got out of me is in direct response to her bullshit. Every. Single. Thing.

I don't mention her in threads but she sure mentions me. All the time.

I don't pile on to people giving her a hard time, but she piles hard on me.'

I called her on it.

Now she ignoring me, is she?

I told her so.

I'm not ashamed of that.

The fact that she is now ignoring me utterly speaks volumes to her general maturity.

For what it's worth, i don't think Agnes gives Cods orders.

I think Agnes is very loyal to Cods.

I appreciate that Agnes is trying to build bridges.

I just think that sometimes we see our friends through rose-coloured glasses. We defend them despite their bad behaviour.

While this is at times an admirable quality, it also runs the risk of not tapping our friends on the shoulder and letting them know in a kind and nurturing way that they are being out of line.

It's a hard line to walk.

The risks are that your friend may be told in less friendly ways to pull their head in. Or that one will upset their friend by tapping them on the shoulder.

To my mind, Agnes is walking a hard line. I don't think she's told Cods anything about me.

The whole passive aggressive thing is bizarre, but we'll let that pass.

You've got to be kidding! What, for asking her a question?

How about all of the times she's bitched about me in random threads .. calling me  LEFTARD IDIOT, and the like.

Yes but not in a respectful calm conciliatory manner, it comes across as repressed hostility.. we dont normally converse with those we dislike( unless forced too) because it isnt normal to do so.

You are so obvious.   And needy.

Serious question. What were you expecting?

Not in a  "respectful calm conciliatory manner" and how does it come across as , it comes across as "repressed hostility"?.

Mothra you think you are perfect but you are not.. I stand by my assertion that you are passive aggressive re many of your comments and you actually know you are. I am not the only one who can see it...why do you waste your precious time on so much petty bickering I have no idea.. just cease and desist and all will be well. I am not a loyal idiot to cods as you tried to suggest.. but you get away with too much in my books and you need to start behaving like the adult you constantly tell us you are.

Have a great evening Mothra...

Agnes, do you know what passive aggressive means? Because i really don't think you do.

And i have never claimed to be "perfect".

But would you like to tell me where me asking Cods "Serious question. What were you expecting?" is not in a  "respectful calm conciliatory manner" and how does it come across as , "repressed hostility"?

You can't even answer any of my questions.

You just accuse with absolutely no basis from which to make those accusations.

Yes I actually roollly do ;D ;)

TOP DEFINITION
Passive-Aggressive
Formerly associated with a particular psychological disorder stemming from years of percieved underappreciation and bitterness. A character flaw brought on by a person's inability to deal with their own bitterness, anger, or resentment in an assertive manner, thus, becoming a more passive form of hostility.
