Only the Death Penalty would have been appropriate justice for this recidivist monster.

Ah, more trolling from Herbie.

Okay old boy, I'll bite.

There's no place in civilised society for the premeditated, state-sanctioned killing of prisoners.

there are many people here including Pecca who advocate for lifelong torture for these people instead but say pretend they are against the death penalty. Go figure. But yes Herb, a swift execution for people like this is necessary.

Indeed, he is.

Just the sort of animal who would lure someone into a forest, rape them, kill them, and then burn their body.

There are some sick individuals out there.

There are some disgusting individuals in Perth, Redneck.

Unfortunately, some of them haven't been caught yet.

Keep your eyes out for anyone who gets violent at the drop of a hat.

No. I never comment on "male" threads, Rhino. And fancy me thinking the woman who was killed is a victim! As you so sagely point out, she made him do it.

'Swift' ~ well said.

The Americans are brain-dead idiots when it comes to the Death Penalty.

The average time someone sits on Death Row waiting for the chop used to be 9 years during which time a whole industry would develop around these convicted killers - lawyers making a fortune out of appeals, and re-trials, and 'submissions', and plea-bargaining, and Christ-knows-what-other delaying tactics to bleed the court system of every cent they could get.

And then the Americans run out of the correct chemical solutions for the fatal injections and so start using inferior and less effective substitutes that are sheer torture as the guy is slowly dying on the table. Incredibly, the US doesn't make its own lethal injection potion, but sources it from China. I mean what?!

Yes, Rhino - quick and humane - just like the Indonesians have it down pat.

The magistrates and the Parole Boards who kept releasing Adrian Bayley back onto the streets should definitely be doing jail-time, no question about it, and preferably sharing the same cell with Big Bubba who suffers from 'early morning erections' 24/7.

Waiting 9 years for an electric chair to fry your brains as opposed to a bullet to the heart within a coupe of days of being convicted, gives room for believing the former to be a cruel lapse of time while the latter provides for a short period of time during which the condemned must suffer anxiety before the sentence is carried out.

Yes OK

but here's me thinking they've let the bastard out & that couldn't be true

so he's still locked up

and that's where he should stay

& I'd agree to bumping him off

as I see he really doesn't have a legitimate

avenue of appeal ... he's guilty beyond doubt.

A dirt nap for him would be better than the tax payer footing the bill for his keep for another 40 or 50 years.

Heart.

I've watched any number of war criminal executions by firing squad, and in each case the executed hit the ground with no further movement. Only very occasionally a coup de grâce was necessary.

There's almost no such thing as a 'humane death', Mothra. Not for any of us.
The government is adamant that we must all endure the 'dying experience' in the same way as Christ did on the Cross.

My brother had to go the whole nine yards for weeks on end waiting for his cancer to finally kill him.

Where they cut the poor animals throat and let it bleed slowly to death in fear.
But that is the mzzo way.
Cutting throats.
Chopping off heads
Lopping off limbs.

all part of the same theme.
