Even Tony Blair is now publicly conceding Labour is doomed.

The once great party which did so much for postwar Britain has been brought to its knees.

Why? It was stupid enough to elect a bumbling old socialist and hand.control to the unions.

A lesson for us all.

Post War Britain's social conditions and economy were ripe for the Labour Party. To use a barometer of popular culture, imagine trying to sell TV shows like Charlie Drake, the Worker, or Hancock's Half Hour today. The rise of the middle class in the UK has made Labour Party an anachronism, simply because more people have a financial stake in the outcome of elections, where in former times they had no stake at all.
