One police source said the attacker was “known to the authorities”. A search was under way at the attacker’s home east of Paris. Donald Trump reacted to the news during a joint press conference with the Italian prime minister, Paolo Gentiloni, at the White House. “First of all, our condolences from our country to the people of France,” he said. “Again, it’s happening, it seems. I just saw it as I was walking in, so that’s a terrible thing. “It’s a very, very terrible thing that’s going on in the world today. But it looks like another terrorist attack and what can you say? It just never ends. We have to be strong and we have to be vigilant and I’ve been saying it for a long time.” The incident comes days before the first round of the French presidential election. Security had already been stepped up at political rallies this week after the arrest of two men on Tuesday suspected of plotting an “imminent and violent attack” in the run-up to Sunday’s vote. There was no information on whether or not the Paris incident was linked in any way to the arrests earlier this week. |

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the shooting, the group's Amaq News Agency reported. It identified the attacker as one of its soldiers, naming him as Abu Yousif, a Belgian.

Let me beat the apologists to the punch.
Not all Muslims are terrorists and not all terrorists are Muslims. We get it. But, the more Muslims, the more terror. The way to describe Islamic immigration is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_dose_makes_the_poison |

I guess the French gun laws are working well, the terrorists and criminals don't have any trouble getting guns that are outlawed.

Let's see if they can apologise for this? http://edition.cnn.com/2017/04/20/europe/champs-elyses-in-paris-closed/index.html The shooting happened about 9 p.m. local time (3 p.m. ET) when a car stopped at 102 Champs-Elysees in front of a police van, Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre Henry Brandet said. A man emerged from the car and opened fire on the van with an "automatic weapon," killing one officer instantly, he said. The man "then ran away, managing to shoot and wound two other policemen. Other policemen engaged and shot and killed the attacker," Brandet said. The slain officer was 30 years old, Molin said. One of the wounded officers was critically injured but is improving, he said. Also wounded was a female tourist. The shooting shut down the famed Champs-Elysees, one of Paris' top tourist attractions and home to the iconic Arc de Triomphe monument. The avenue was clear of residents and tourists but teeming with security officers Thursday night. It comes three days before French voters start elections for a new president. Candidates went ahead with a debate Thursday night. France has been in a state of emergency since the 2015 Paris attacks, which left 130 people dead. Parliament voted in December to extend the extraordinary provisions to ensure the protection of upcoming presidential and general elections. Security has been tight because of the vote. Just two days ago French authorities arrested two men in Marseille who were allegedly planning an attack in a run-up to the election. |

Ah yes, "gay Paree!" A stroll down the boulevard, accompanied by accordians. Well, that was in peace time, and when "gay" meant lighthearted, and not a palette of gender confusion neurosis.
But that Peace is well and truly gone by anyone's estimation. Its a war from within, and where does the enemy hide? Not in a trench in Flanders, in plain sight in loyal EU-Islamic community. |

How the Paris police shooting could shape the French election
http://edition.cnn.com/2017/04/21/europe/paris-attack-effect-french-election/index.html By Euan McKirdy, Melissa Bell and Jim Bittermann, CNN Updated 0836 GMT (1636 HKT) April 21, 2017 Paris (CNN)In a country riven by increasing divisions, Thursday's shooting on Paris' Champs Elysées, which left one police officer dead, has the potential to upend an already contentious and unpredictable election. With a record number of voters still undecided, analysts say the shooting, by a suspect said to be known to French security services for radical Islamist activities, could play into the narrative pushed by the far-right. "This recasts the final hours of the campaign, puts law and order and fighting terrorism, immigration and national identity at the heart. It makes it much more of a battle between Marine Le Pen and those who oppose her," said CNN's Melissa Bell. |

Unfortunately their are now to any of them to be hung, it would be very unsanitary to have so many bodies hanging in the streets, their has to be a more efficient way.

Paris gunman served 15 years for attempted police murders.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/21/paris-shooting-police-search-property-as-isis-claims-responsibility Media says prison term imposed in 2001 on Karim Cheurfi, who was shot dead after killing officer on Champs Élysées Police in France have searched a property believed to be the home of a known terror suspect who shot dead one police officer and seriously wounded two more in an attack two days before voting begins in an already tense presidential election. The gunman stepped from a car and opened fire on a police van with an automatic rifle outside a Marks & Spencer store on the Champs Élysées in central Paris at about 9pm on Thursday. The attacker, a 39-year-old man widely named named as Karim Cheurfi, was known to French security services. Media reported he had served nearly 15 years in prison after being convicted of three attempted murders – two against police officers – in 2001. He was shot dead by police while trying to flee on foot. A statement from the Isis propaganda agency, Amaq, said the attack was carried out by an “Islamic State fighter”. |

Title: Re: Terrorist attack in Paris Post by Sir Bobby on Apr 22nd, 2017 at 8:10am In France: http://edition.cnn.com/2017/04/21/europe/paris-police-shooting-champs-elysees/index.html The far-right candidate, Marine Le Pen, demanded the closure of all Islamist mosques. Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve accused her of trying to capitalize on the attack. ISIS swiftly claimed the attack was carried out by one of its "fighters." The assailant -- Karim Cheurfi, a 39-year-old French national with a long and violent criminal record -- was shot dead as he tried to make his escape. Prosecutors said a note defending ISIS fell out of his pocket, although there was no previous evidence of radicalization. He was also carrying the addresses of police stations. |

Title: Re: Terrorist attack in Paris Post by jeez on Apr 22nd, 2017 at 3:35pm
An equation.
More apologists = more immigration more Muslim immigration = more terrorism. more terrorism = z if x = apologists and if y =more Muslim immigration then x+y =z To transpose that formula, the lesser the apologists and or Muslim immigration the lesser the chance of z. |
