Cube satellites are small and cheap, as shown in the above link.

On ABC24 just now, a cube satellite was launched by a small rocket, it will dock with the ISS and be launched into a temporary orbit (will decay and the satellite burn up in the atmosphere) to study weather.

Hopefully we will see many more Australian cube satellites launched for all sorts of study!
