Yay for cultural diversity

The German government agreed on a proposal Wednesday to outlaw child marriages after finding more than 1,500 cases of immigrant minors having adult spouses.

The Central Register of Foreign Nationals has documented a surge in child marriages in recent years. As of July 2016, 1,500 minors of non-German background were registered as married, including 361 under the age of 14.

The largest group of child brides, 664 minors, come from Syria followed by Afghanistan and Iraq.

“Children do not belong at the wedding altar, they belong in school,” Justice Minister Heiko Maas said Wednesday. “We cannot tolerate any marriages that might harm the natural development of minors.”

Of course it's illegal. The minimum age for marriage in Germany is 16 with parental consent, same as Australia - same as most Muslim countries for that matter - in Turkey, it's 18.

These figures describe people who married overseas. Their marriages are legally invalid in Germany.

its the punishment that needs a hard look at..

those who allow this to happen to their child.. should not be allowed in a country that it is illegal in.. its cruel and child abuse.......

laws in western society are getting abused on a regular basis...even mutilation is happening..

international Laws on the punishment dealt out to all parents..... should be loud and clear on both these crimes...

returned to your old country ... never to be allowed into a Country where these practices are illegal..

if we cant stamp it out at least we can stop it in our own countries.

Moslems bring ISLAM with them, wherever they go in the world.

ISLAMIC law allows [i.e. makes it lawful for] moslem men to marry a 9 year old girl,
even in Germany,
even in Australia.

And moslems want Sharia law to be imposed in those nations where moslems live.

Pedophilia is part & parcel of Islam, along with its plan for global conquest by one means or another.
Mohammed was a pedophile along with his main occupation as a robber baron/gangster.

Not that the world wasn't awash with robber barons in his time, it's just that Islam is totally backward looking and.continues with the practices of the time including pedophilia.
