Twenty million people across four countries faced starvation and famine if the international community did not act quickly, the United Nations humanitarian chief warned the Security Council today, expressing alarm at the funding gap to meet the needs in Yemen, South Sudan, Somalia and north-eastern Nigeria........

its interesting how the Un always calls for money...

what about food.. we throw food away every day mountains of it..... as I am sure most well off countries do....we are surrounded by food...yet we cannot spare any to feed the starving???>.. I dont believe it ... ::)

when are we going to put a stop to wars in countries like Somalia....

why dont we try to do deals with these despots who think killing is a game...and tell them we will help them get their country working and building and feeding their own...we have the knowledge we have the manpower we have the money...... send in the builders not the destroyers....show them how to be self sufficient...dig the bloody wells if thats what has to be done...instead of killing each other teach them to work together and educate the kids.. instead of arming them...

give the UN more money no sirree.. >:(

Notice how in  Yemen, South Sudan, Somalia and north-eastern Nigeria
there is always plenty of money for weapons?
