Title: Trump gets things done
Post by Sprintcyclist on Jan 21st, 2017 at 8:54pm

Quote:
US President Donald Trump has begun his term in office by immediately starting to dismantle the flagship healthcare policy of his predecessor Barack Obama.

Just hours after being sworn in, Mr Trump signed an executive order aimed at minimising the economic burden of the Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare - pending its repeal.

He also signed the commissions for his newly confirmed Defence Secretary James Mattis and his Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.

In his inaugural speech, Mr Trump promised to take power from the establishment in Washington and give it back to the American people.............

He wouldn't be a rightie if he didn't start by attacking healthcare and lining up his warmongers.

Yes; he will give it back to the people after his establishment cronies, and his sons Beavis and Butthead, have ravaged and stripped it.

He will want its ravaged resources replenished by the people.

Trump vows to “eradicate completely” “radical Islamic terrorism”

“We will … unite the civilised world against radical Islamic terrorism which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth.”

Strictly speaking, it isn’t possible within four years, or eight, to eradicate “radical Islamic terrorism” (which is actually orthodox and mainstream in Islam) or as long as there are people who believe the Qur’an is the perfect and eternal word of Allah.

However, Trump’s declaration, while hyperbolic, was a welcome indication of his apparent determination to speak honestly about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, and to combat it and roll it back.

It is good to set your sights high Donald Trump.

But first you would have to put some back-bones into many Western politicians, and also overcome the spirit of appeasement, towards everything ISLAMIC, which is 'abroad' within many Western nations.

Can Donald Trump 'take on' domestic moslems in the USA, who are indeed the vector for ISLAMIC terrorism mainstream ISLAM in the USA ?

I wish him every success in that endeavor.

We live in interesting times!

The guy has a plan.

In the coming months we will all learn, if he has a good [i.e. effective] plan!

I hope, that Donald Trump has a very, very effective plan.

And i hope that Donald Trump is just as serious, as his own words portray him to be.

He's going to buy ISIS from the Muslims, make Yadda chairman of directors, and then bankrupt it.

...........The Wollman Rink incident  underrscores the  fascinating impact that Donald Trump is making on the political landscape and the American psyche irrespective of the outcome of the presidential campaign. Wollman Skating Rink today is one of the most iconic amenities for New Yorkers and tourists located in Central Park just a stone’s throw north of the Plaza Hotel (which was once owned by Donald Trump).
Wollman Rink is currently operated by the Trump organization, and is today known as the Trump Skating Rink. Donald Trump operated the rink from 1987 to 1991.

The bright red Trump logo still adorns the Wollman Skating Rink website.

Having fallen into utter disrepair during the New York City fiscal crisis, unable to make ice, the city’s Parks Department embarked on a total refurbishment of the facility in 1980, estimating it would take two years to complete. After six years and having flushed $13 million down the drain, the city announced they would have to start all over again and it would another two years to complete. Wollman Rink had quite visibly failed. The Wollman Rink fiasco amplified the public perception of the general incompetence of government and their inability to complete even the simplest projects.

Enter the Donald. In late May of 1986, the 39-year-old Trump made an offer to Mayor Ed Koch. Trump would step in and take over the construction and operation of the project for no profit and have it up and running in time for the holiday season. Koch tried mightily and quite sneakily tried to reject Trump’s offer. A very public Trump-Koch feud ensued; Donald ultimately prevailed taking on the responsibility to finish the rink in less than six months for no more than $3 million. The city politicos could only hope that when Donald failed it would divert attention from their own incompetence.

Instead of failing, Trump finished the job in just four months at a final cost 25% below the budget.
It wasn’t rocket science according to Trump. It was common sense and “management.” But the incident also demonstrated Trump’s mastery and command of public relations and how to attract massive amounts of free press.......

Easy to do, if you don't pay your contractors.

Um, Trump didn't "dismantle" anything you racist, xenophobic misinformed troll. The Rethuglicons under PAUL RYAN did  - way before the dayglo orange pee freak was ever in office.

Dude, if you're to keep up your tedious trolling at least do it with some fact.

.................Trump Tower, Fifth Avenue at 56th Street, opened 1983

As the city descended into an abyss of crime and corporate flight, nobody thought of erecting a new skyscraper on Fifth Avenue — except Trump. It perfected the three-way, mixed-use model: condo apartments, office floors and a shopping atrium. An immediate hit with the public, it shone as a beacon of hope for “the world’s greatest shopping street,” which was increasingly full of phony antique dealers and empty storefronts. Trump’s vision would be vindicated years later when the avenue recaptured its old glory....
