Title: For the Trump supporters
Post by mothra on Jan 9th, 2017 at 10:21pm
All I will say to those who voted for Trump and expect me to suck it up is this...... I listened as you called my President a Muslim.
I listened as you called him and his family a pack of monkeys.
I listened as you said he wasn't born here.
I watched as you blocked every single path to progress that you could.
I saw the pictures you made of him as Hitler.
I watched you shut down the government and hurt the entire nation, twice.
I watched you turn your backs on every opportunity to open a worthwhile dialog.
I watched you say that you would not even listen to any choice for Supreme Court no matter who the nominee was.
I listened as you openly said that you will oppose him at every turn.
I watched as you did just that.
I listened.
I watched.
I paid attention.

Now, I'm being called on to be tolerant.
To move forward.
To denounce protesters.
To ‘Get over it.’
To accept this...
I will not.

I will do my part to make sure this great American mistake becomes the embarrassing footnote of our history that it deserves to be.
I will do this as quickly as possible, every chance I get.
I will do my part to limit the damage that this man can do to my country.
I will watch his every move and point out every single mistake and misdeed in a loud and proud voice.
I will let you know in a loud voice every time this man backs away from a promise he made to you.
The people who voted for him. Yes you, the ones who sold their souls and prayed for him to win.
I will do this so that you never forget.
And you will hear me.
You will see it in my eyes when I look at you.
You will hear it in my voice when I talk to you.
You will know that I know who you are.
You will know that I know what you are.

Do not call for my tolerance. I've tolerated all I can.
Now it's your turn to tolerate the ridicule.
Be aware, make no mistake about it, every single thing that goes wrong in our country from this day forward is now Trump's fault just as much as you thought it was Obama's.
I find it unreasonable for you to expect from me what you were entirely unwilling to give.

Author unknown.

I voted for President Obama. It wasn't Trump who started the birther crap, it was Clinton in 2008. It's well documented.

The American people would like to think we deserve better, but in truth, we have allowed an elite ruling class to evolve, complete with corrupt royal dynasties like the Kennedys, Bushes and Clintons.  We've allowed Citizens United to stand.  We haven't demanded term limits.

The DNC and the RNC figured out a long time ago, the way to keep the party going was to divide the little people with race, sex, abortion...so we would fight like dogs at the foot of their table while they kept getting fatter and greedier.

Lawrence Lessig was a Democrat who ran for President in 2016. Never heard of him? Well, most Americans probably never had an idea he was running, because the DNC threw him under the bus early on. His platform hinged on campaign finance and electoral reform, you see -- and neither the DNC, the RNC, nor their real owners want that to happen.

We will keep getting crap until we make some things clear and a matter of law in the US:
1) Money is not speech
2) Corporations are not citizens
3) The US Presidency ( and congress) are no longer on the market.

All political campaign contributions need to be transparent and linked directly to the SSN of a US Citizen donor.

"For the Trump supporters" ...

What do you see in a self-confessed sexual predator accused of child rape who mocks disabled people?

let's break that down
"Sexual predator" -- William Jefferson Clinton
Eileen Wellstone, 19-year-old English woman who said Clinton sexually assaulted her after she met him at a pub near the Oxford where the future President was a student in 1969. A retired State Department employee, who asked not to be identified, confirmed that he spoke with the family of the girl and filed a report with his superiors. Clinton admitted having sex with the girl, but claimed it was consensual. The victim's family declined to pursue the case;
In 1972, a 22-year-old woman told campus police at Yale University that she was sexually assaulted by Clinton, a law student at the college. No charges were filed, but retired campus policemen contacted by Capitol Hill Blue confirmed the incident. The woman, tracked down by Capitol Hill Blue last week, confirmed the incident, but declined to discuss it further and would not give permission to use her name;
In 1974, a female student at the University of Arkansas complained that then-law school instructor Bill Clinton tried to prevent her from leaving his office during a conference. She said he groped her and forced his hand inside her blouse. She complained to her faculty advisor who confronted Clinton, but Clinton claimed the student ''came on'' to him. The student left the school shortly after the incident. Reached at her home in Texas, the former student confirmed the incident, but declined to go on the record with her account. Several former students at the University have confirmed the incident in confidential interviews and said there were other reports of Clinton attempting to force himself on female students;
Broaddrick, a volunteer in Clinton's gubernatorial campaign, said he raped her in 1978. Mrs. Broaddrick suffered a bruised and torn lip, which she said she suffered when Clinton bit her during the rape;
From 1978-1980, during Clinton's first term as governor of Arkansas, state troopers assigned to protect the governor were aware of at least seven complaints from women who said Clinton forced, or attempted to force, himself on them sexually. One retired state trooper said in an interview that the common joke among those assigned to protect Clinton was "who's next?". One former state trooper said other troopers would often escort women to the governor's hotel room after political events, often more than one an evening;
Carolyn Moffet, a legal secretary in Little Rock in 1979, said she met then-governor Clinton at a political fundraiser and shortly thereafter received an invitation to meet the governor in his hotel room. "I was escorted there by a state trooper. When I went in, he was sitting on a couch, wearing only an undershirt. He pointed at his penis and told me to suck it. I told him I didn't even do that for my boyfriend and he got mad, grabbed my head and shoved it into his lap. I pulled away from him and ran out of the room."
Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have sex with him shortly after she won her state crown. Last year, Ward, who is now married with the last name of Gracen (from her first marriage), told an interviewer she did have sex with Clinton but said it was consensual. Close friends of Ward, however, say she still maintains privately that Clinton forced himself on her.
Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, filed a sexual harassment case against Clinton after an encounter in a Little Rock hotel room where the then-governor exposed himself and demanded oral sex. Clinton settled the case with Jones recently with an $850,000 cash payment.
Sandra Allen James, a former Washington, DC, political fundraiser says Presidential candidate-to-be Clinton invited her to his hotel room during a political trip to the nation's capital in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her dress. She says she screamed loud enough for the Arkansas State Trooper stationed outside the hotel suite to bang on the door and ask if everything was all right, at which point Clinton released her and she fled the room. When she reported the incident to her boss, he advised her to keep her mouth shut if she wanted to keep working. Miss James has since married and left Washington. Reached at her home last week, the former Miss James said she later learned that other women suffered the same fate at Clinton's hands when he was in Washington during his Presidential run.
Christy Zercher, a flight attendant on Clinton's leased campaign plane in 1992, says Presidential candidate Clinton exposed himself to her, grabbed her breasts and made explicit remarks about oral sex. A video shot on board the plane by ABC News shows an obviously inebriated Clinton with his hand between another young flight attendant's legs. Zercher said later in an interview that White House attorney Bruce Lindsey tried to pressure her into not going public about the assault.
Kathleen Willey, a White House volunteer, reported that Clinton grabbed her, fondled her breast and pressed her hand against his genitals during an Oval Office meeting in November, 1993. Willey, who told her story in a 60 Minutes interview, became a target of a White House-directed smear campaign after she went public.

...need more room

Part two....

"accused of child rape" -- Bill and possibly Hillary Clinton
Clinton’s presence aboard Jeffrey Epstein’s Boeing 727 on 11 occasions has been reported, but flight logs show the number is more than double that, and trips between 2001 and 2003 included extended junkets around the world with Epstein and fellow passengers identified on manifests by their initials or first names, including “Tatiana.” The tricked-out jet earned its Nabakov-inspired nickname because it was reportedly outfitted with a bed where passengers had group sex with young girls.

“Bill Clinton … associated with a man like Jeffrey Epstein, who everyone in New York, certainly within his inner circles, knew was a pedophile,” said Conchita Sarnoff, of the Washington, D.C. based non-profit Alliance to Rescue Victims of Trafficking, and author of a book on the Epstein case called "TrafficKing." “Why would a former president associate with a man like that?”

From Independent Journal Review:
“Because of Weinergate and the sexting scandal, the NYPD started investigating it. Through a subpoena, through a warrant, they searched his laptop, and sure enough, found those 650,000 emails. They found way more stuff than just more information pertaining to the inappropriate sexting the guy was doing,” Prince claimed.

“They found State Department emails. They found a lot of other really damning criminal information, including money laundering, including the fact that Hillary went to this sex island with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton went there more than 20 times. Hillary Clinton went there at least six times.”

I'm not trying to deflect from Trump to Clinton.  I supported Sanders, until he sold out after the DNC and the Clinton Syndicate did him dirty.  She's functionally sane, yes, but so is Trump, mostly.  She's a sociopath and he's a narcissist.
I find it laughable in the US, right now, the cognitive dissonance coming from those in entertainment and the media -- and how they are playing into the hands of people like Soros, who is funnelling yet more money into organizing media and groups like Podesta's CAP, to "weaponise" attacks on Trump.
Soros stands to pay approximately $7 Billion in back taxes under a Presidency he doesn't own part of.  I imagine he figures it's worth another twenty million to try to find a way to hold off on that.

It's the same old story, John.

"If you don't support Turnbull, you must support Shorten".

"If you don't support Trump, you must support Clinton".

No, and no.

I'm a proud lefty, however, I don't support any of the aforementioned politicians.

Back to the thread topic:

"The accuser says Trump raped her repeatedly at parties thrown by since-convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who was widely known to throw wild parties with young women and girls. Epstein was convicted in 2008 of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and served a small portion of an 18-year sentence."

'Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.'

I see this hypocrisy....as reported by Western Journalism when the post-election riots broke out.
"The left claims to be open-minded, tolerant, inclusive, yet they are of the opinion that they are “right” and everyone else is “wrong.” They claim that Trump is the candidate of hate, yet look at the protests above, which are rife with intimidation and intolerance.

Americans were tired of being told by the mainstream media, in no uncertain terms, that there was only one “right” choice this election. Against a poxed and mendacious establishment candidate, they were told to focus on personalities and not policies.

When the people didn’t vote the way they were told, things got ugly. And why should we be surprised? We’ve seen all sorts of bullying in the name of what the left believes is “right.”

And did the media cover this? Of course not. They’ve stoked the flames, and now they look away from the fire that they’ve created."

THe far right and the far left both refuse to see their own hypocrisy.  Right now, the biggest hypocrites in the US are the celebrities and media who for months told us that Clinton was "the only choice".

Remember this little nugget when some Trump supporters said they could never accept Clinton as their President?
Nov 4...Washington Post's "The Fix"
"A quarter of Trump supporters say they won’t accept a Clinton victory" --- the author went on to slam them for that.  Joy Behar and other infotainment people demanded Trump be tried for sedition for allowing his supporters to take that approach.
now....
From the Washington Post on November 13....
"The Post-ABC poll finds 74 percent of all Americans say they accept the election of Trump as legitimate while 18 percent do not. That result parallels a Post-ABC Tracking Poll just before the election, which found 79 percent of likely voters saying they were prepared to accept the outcome of the election regardless of who they support....
But while Trump supporters were more reluctant about accepting results before Tuesday — 22 percent said they were not prepared to do so — an even larger share of Clinton supporters now say they do not view Trump's election as legitimate."

In 2000, Al Gore and supporters challenged the election results, then in 2016, the percentage of Trump supporters who said they would not accept the results were reviled...and then Clinton participated in a challenge of the results, rather hypocritically, after saying in NC prior to the election, that a candidate who did not support the result of the election, was undermining the nation.

Both parties are full of caca.

And reminding the coastal elites who supported Clinton, that she wasn't any better than Trump, is an honor and a privilege.

the only ones making those claims about the left are those from the right. I've never heard a leftie say they promise to agree with everyone about everything and won't ever complain. Have you? If so provide a link to them saying this.

Do you realise that many from the RIGHT oppose Trump too? How can you tell which of the protesters is a leftie or a rightie? Or does it simply suit your own ideology to just assume that they must be form the left?

Do you realise that people can have both left and right views? There is no rule says that because I voted for a left party last year, I must follow every single leftie doctrine. This is bulsh1t perpetrated by the right to try to demonise the left.

People don't like trump because he's a lying arsehole who's full of sh1t. That doesn't make them neither lefties, nor righties ... that just makes them decent.

A quick search on the internet reveals Jerry Springer is involved in the BS charges against Trump and the accuser is anonymous but I am sure the broken record will continue to play.

The left claims to be open-minded, tolerant, inclusive, yet they are of the opinion that they are “right” and everyone else is “wrong.” They claim that Trump is the candidate of hate, yet look at the protests above, which are rife with intimidation and intolerance.

the only ones making those claims about the left are those from the right.

No.
You can not like Trump -- and still revile, despise and blame the elitist assholes who wanted to reduce us to Clinton vs Trump, have us stuck with the sociopath Clinton, and then tell us to just deal with it.
You can tell them to just deal with it -- and count on a better organized third party in 2020

Ohh yes I can. I don't have to like any of them, but that doesn't exclude me from being critical of Trump. The man is a pig, a liar and an utter dickhead. That doesn't mean I think Hillary is a saint. She has her own faults ... luckily for me, I don't live in America .

My meaning was that you can dislike him, and still revile, despise and blame the elitist assholes who wanted to reduce us to a contest of a corporate-whore warhawk criminal sociopath like Clinton against a narcissist like Trump...thinking we'd end up stuck with Clinton, and then just tell us to deal with it.

I have found that people who continually talk about any subject have a deep interest in it. Pecca loves to post about pedophilia so I can only say his government needs to examine the files on his PC!

The Huffington Post -- who we all can acknowledge has no love for Mr Trump -- was extremely doubtful about this whole story.
The lawsuit against Trump includes affidavits from two anonymous women who say they were witnesses. Yet there’s been little coverage of the case. As one of the media outlets that has not published much about it, I can say there are two main reasons we shied away.

The accuser is anonymous.

The accuser in this case is anonymous, and the suit is filed under a pseudonym in New York. A previous case filed in California used the name “Katie Johnson.” To accuse someone in print of forcibly raping a child is about as serious a charge as can be made. To do that with an anonymous accuser would be an extraordinary step, putting the journalist’s reputation on the line.

One senior national reporter who has covered both campaigns said that the anonymity was the main stumbling block. “If it’s something that’s this damaging to a candidate, you better be sure, and she’s anonymous,” the reporter said, asking for anonymity to talk openly about the decision-making process. “Look, if she came out and she would do an interview, that would be different, but she’s an anonymous plaintiff.”

To go forward with an anonymous source shifts responsibility for the veracity of the claims from the accuser to the reporter. If the person is named and on record, the reporter can argue that he or she is merely reporting what the person is saying, and people are free to believe her or not. But giving anonymity says something different to an audience. It suggests, I, as a journalist, have investigated this person and these charges, and find them sufficiently credible to bring them forward without a name attached. Especially in the wake of the Rolling Stone fiasco, that requires an extreme amount of confidence in the source.

And the way the case rolled out did not inspire that confidence.

The accuser’s public backers have been savaged in the press.

One of the leading organizers of the effort to get the press to pay attention to this case is Steve Baer, an outspoken Republican donor. Baer last made news when his effort to out an alleged affair between Reps. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Renee Ellmers (R-N.C.) contributed to McCarthy dropping his bid to become House speaker. Baer’s style is to liberally cc and bcc an endless stream of powerful people, and it usually has the effect of getting none of them to listen.

When I wrote to him Monday night, for instance, to say I was going to write a story on why the media were avoiding the child rape story, he replied and cc’ed Washington Post Executive Editor Marty Baron, along with a host of other media figures.

And Baer, in fact, is among the more credible advocates the accuser has going for her.

The accuser initially filed the case on her own behalf in California, but it was tossed for not stating an articulable violation of her civil rights. The case has since been refiled in New York, under the representation of a patent lawyer named Thomas Meagher. A patent lawyer handling the case hasn’t inspired the most confidence. (He didn’t respond to a request for comment.)

The least credible backer has to be a man who may or may not be named Al Taylor, but is more likely named Norm Lubow, and was apparently a former producer for “The Jerry Springer Show.”

Media outlets that have tried to get in touch with Johnson have had extreme difficulty doing so. The Daily Beast did a deep dive into the case and the people supporting the accuser in July, and came to a devastating conclusion: “Far from derailing the Trump train, Katie Johnson and her supporters seem to be in an out-of-control clown car whose wheels just came off,” wrote Brandy Zadrozny.

The Guardian and Jezebel also looked into the situation and came up with equally unfavorable takes. A writer who actually talked to Johnson came away confused about what to make of the allegations. It’s unclear if anybody has managed to speak to Tiffany Doe or Joan Doe, the two witnesses cited in the case. “Jezebel, The Guardian and The Daily Beast effectively poisoned the well on Katie’s credibility,” Baer lamented to HuffPost, accurately.

Incidentally, Chelsea Clinton sits on the board of the company that owns the Daily Beast.

As for Mr Baer (from rewire.news):
Kevin McCarthy Smear Campaign Was Engineered by Anti-Abortion Zealot Steven Baer
Oct 9, 2015, 3:59pm Karoli Kuns
Chicago-based GOP operative Steven Baer has one apparent goal: to end legal abortion in this country forever. To do that, he is unafraid to use his email account, rumors, and his electronic Rolodex to destroy the careers of anyone he perceives as standing in the way.

the whole idea of Trump as a pedophile is ludicrous.
with his resources, he could join about 20,000 german businessmen who fly "under the radar" in thailand and partake.
The very LAST place a pedophile would want to be is under the gazillion cameras aimed at the POTUS
