Title: Clinton investigation continues
Post by bogarde73 on Dec 15th, 2016 at 8:33am
According to DailyCaller, FBI HQ has instructed its New York office to continue the investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

And no more big money is flowing to the Foundation because the Clintons have no more influence to sell.

Happy Festivus.

Be careful what you wish for. Do you think an investigation into Trump's affairs will go well for him? See, Obama can preemptively pardon clinton and probably will. but Trump cant pardon himself and his successor most certainly will not.

For his own protection, a savvy Trump would choose to play nice because his days in the big chair are at most 4 years and even that is unlikely.

One of her allies admits she often lies.

Subject: Bernie, Elizabeth and de Blasio

Sometime soon I am going to suggest that Bernie, Elizabeth Warren and Bill de Blasio create the equivalent of a People's PAC to raise huge amounts of money from small donors---after the convention---to support electing liberals at all levels....including but far beyond Hillary assuming she is nominated.....

Beyond this Hillary should stop attacking Bernie, especially when she says things that are untrue, which candidly she often does. I am one of the people with credibility to suggest Bernie people support her in November, and she and Benenson and others have no idea of the damage she does to herself with these attacks, which she does not gain by making.

Instead the smart move would be to look for issues where she can dovetail with Bernie. One I am definitely going to suggest would be to take his proposal for a free public college education paid for by a transaction tax on Wall Street speculation and add one new dimension....that to receive this benefit young people should devote one year to some form of community or public service.... There is no reason Hillary cannot not support this....

Right now I am petrified that Hillary is almost totally dependent on Republicans nominating Trump....she has huge endemic political weaknesses that she would be wise to rectify.....even a clown like Ted Cruz would be an even money bet to beat and this scares the hell of out me.......................

And ironically, Trumps own team has to tell the media not to take seriously much of what he says. in other words... HE LIES.

And while you are all masturbating over the Clinton foundation, Trump has shuttered his own foundation after admitting to illegal acts.

Your hypocrisy would be astonishing if it were not so common now.

Do not see too much more biased than thet fella.

He started with the first question insisting that it hadn't been answered - go back and listen he was wrong it had been answered.

He only got worse as it went on. In the end a calm, Clinton won easily on points.

On the negative side this biased clown will get to make a ruling. Looks a lot like a setup.

I already pinned Brian Ross as a Bold Faced Liar.......for the exact same reason.....for making unsupported statements & claims, then when pressed for links to his corroborating evidence, he did the Gweggy, Bwian Two Step....danced all over the place, & then tried to turn the tables....do the leftist switch-r-roo.....all the while never ever providing one link, or a shred of bona fide documentation, or corroborating evidence, to support any of his bold false accusations, claims, or other unsupported statements.

I gave him multiple opportunities to redeem himself, but he flatly refused, point blank because he was busted.....he knew all along he was lying.....& there was no way out of his Bold Faced Lies.

Typical Progressive Leftist..... & it's mostly our fault for letting them off the hook, & not pressing their lying asses!

Now, just like the muzzies, they think they have the "Right" to lie unaccountably whenever they please to reach their objectives....well, no more.....those days are over.......full stop!

Will Obama pardon Clinton? And if he does,
will she accept?

Source:       THE HILL
Quote:
In dashing through his last few weeks in office, will one of Obama's final acts be to pardon Hillary Clinton for any violations of federal law she might have committed while she was secretary of State?

We should first note that the Obama administration's decision not to prosecute Clinton would not bind the Trump administration. Until relevant statutes of limitations have expired, she could still be prosecuted by the new administration. It is possible, in my opinion, for Clinton to be prosecuted for either her improper handling of classified information on her "home brew" email server or allegations of "pay to play" arrangements between the secretary of State and donors to the Clinton Foundation, which could constitute bribery.

The statute of limitations for most federal crimes is five years from the commission of the offense; that would apply to the two categories relevant to Clinton. Her tenure as secretary of State ended Feb. 1, 2013, so it is possible that the statute of limitations will not run {out} until Feb. 1, 2018, more than a year after Donald Trump takes office.

What looks like one question — will the president pardon Clinton? — turns out, on analysis, to be two. The first question is: Would Clinton wish to receive a pardon?

That question seems to be a proverbial no-brainer. Surely, any person who had been in federal government would be eager to receive a presidential pardon, because it eliminates even the possibility of federal prosecution. That looks like all upside and no downside.

But there is a downside, and it isn't trivial. A pardon must be accepted by the person who is pardoned if it is to effectively stymie any prosecution.

Furthermore, there is solid legal precedent that acceptance of a pardon is equivalent to confession of guilt. A U.S. Supreme Court case from 1915 called Burdick v. U.S. establishes that principle; it has never been overturned.

If acceptance of a pardon by Clinton would amount to confession of guilt, would she nevertheless accept it? A multitude of factors would go into her decision.

She, together with her attorneys, would have to decide how likely it is that the Trump administration would prosecute her, and, if it did decide to prosecute, how likely the administration would be able to prove she had committed crimes.

Since being elected, Trump has been remarkably warm towards the person he used to call "Crooked Hillary." But how confident could Clinton be that the Justice Department, under a Trump administration, would not prosecute?

Prosecutorial decisions are supposed to be independent of political considerations, so Trump's recent friendliness should not be controlling once the new attorney general is in office.

If Clinton believes prosecutors might be able to make a strong case against her, the value to her of a pardon increases. If she is confident that any case against her would be weak or even futile, the pardon has less value.

If Clinton decides that, everything considered, she would prefer to receive a pardon, she would no doubt be able to convey that message to Obama, and then the ball would be in his court. Thus, the second question is: Would Obama grant Clinton's request for a pardon?

From Obama's perspective, the decision to grant or withhold a pardon is a political and a personal one. Legal considerations do not directly arise.

Like all presidents at the end of their terms, he is concerned about the legacy he leaves for history. Does he want his legacy to include a pardon of the secretary of State who served under him during the entirety of his first term in office?

Because acceptance of a pardon amounts to a confession of guilt, the acceptance by Clinton would, to a degree, besmirch both Clinton and also Obama. After all, Clinton was Obama's secretary of State. If she was committing illegal acts as secretary, it happened literally on his watch.

On the other hand, if the new administration were to prosecute and convict Clinton of crimes committed while she was secretary, that might be an even greater embarrassment for Obama post-presidency.

In addition to calculations regarding his legacy, Obama and Clinton surely have developed over many years, both as opponents and as teammates, a personal relationship. If Clinton were to ask Obama for a pardon, how would that personal relationship play into his response? I cannot say.

Days after Trump won the election, the White House press secretary was asked by Jordan Fabian of The Hill whether Obama would consider pardoning Clinton. He carefully avoided a direct answer.

Instead, the press secretary said that, in cases where Obama had granted pardons, "[w]e didn’t talk in advance about those decisions." He also expressed hope that the new administration would follow "a long tradition in this country of people in power not using the criminal justice system to exact political revenge."

Of course, there is also a long tradition in this country that no one is above the law, no matter how high a position in government he or she might have formerly occupied.

Not they - The CIA and FBI - you know the guys who get paid to know things like this.

These are both strong republican supporting groups they would have hated to report this and it is likely they waited till after the election to make it known.

Asked you yesterday for evidence.....accusations aren't facts.  But then the left rarely if ever base anything on facts, reality or truth so i guess we will not be weighed down by any proof will we?

Google is your friend - every US agency has agreed that it happened. Don't live in denial forever, learn to face the truth and don't be so lazy there were headlines all over the place this isn't a secret and it is not under debate.

So, in other words, similar to the Bold Faced Liar Brian Ross, you are refusing to provide your source to the information that you personally used, your corroborating evidence, to support your own claims & or Statements?

Remember, the burden of proof rests with the one who makes the claims & or statements, not with or on those that question the validity of those claims & or statements by requesting that links to the personal sources be provided.

There were at least 2 topics here based on the headline news stores discussing the event, If you guys had half the memory of a dead goldfish between you you would not need to be spoon fed every fact you don't like 2 dozen times.

FBI in agreement with CIA that Russia aimed to help Trump win White House

Russian President Vladimir Putin supervised his intelligence agencies' hacking of the U.S. presidential election and turned it from a general attempt to discredit American democracy to an effort to help Donald Trump, three U.S. officials said on Thursday.

U.S. intelligence agencies' conclusion that Russia tried to influence the election by hacking people and institutions, including Democratic Party bodies, has angered President-elect Trump

The FBI squarely blamed Russian intelligence services on Thursday for meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, releasing the most definitive report yet on the issue, including samples of malicious computer code said to have been used in a broad hacking campaign
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/russian-spy-agencies-election-hack_us_58666756e4b0de3a08f7fd27

The federal intelligence community, as well as private cybersecurity analysts, are confident that Russian actors were behind the hack. The Homeland Security Department and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence issued a joint statement Oct. 7 saying they believed people at the top levels of Russian government directed the attack in an attempt to interfere in the election.
Some private security researchers also believe Russians stole and leaked emails from Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta.
Before the election, Russian actors gained access to the voter registration system in Arizona and possibly other states. It is not clear if the perpetrators were directed by the Russian government or if they were private criminals.

Two major federal agencies have issued a bombshell joint report showing the proof that the Russian Federation meddled in the general election.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) accused two Russian intelligence services (referred to as “RIS” in the report) in the “Grizzly Steppe” report issued on December 29th of hacking into the Democratic National Committee’s digital infrastructure in the summer of 2015, and again in the spring of 2016. For the sake of brevity, the agencies identified the hackers as Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) 28 and 29.
The report confirmed that the contents of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s email account were obtained via a tactic known as “spearphishing,” in which a malicious code is sent to thousands of different recipients in the hopes that some of them will click, thereby granting a hacker access to sensitive information contained within an email account.
Both groups have historically targeted government organizations, think tanks, universities, and corporations around the world. APT29 has been observed crafting targeted

The story about alleged Russian hacking was based on a report from Department of Homeland Security. The report stated that Russia had the capability of hacking DNC emails but failed to give any proof. The top of the report had a disclaimer stating that the Departments personnel were not responsible for the reports accuracy.

In other words the report was misleading political innuendo. The intention was to blame Russia for the defeat, stoke tensions with Russia and thus whitewash the evidence in the emails. Hoping that the public was stupid enough to buy it. Machiavellian politics.

Right wing/left wing - just meaningless terms to confuse.

LOL!

You don't get much more credible source than Julian Assange!

The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, has already stated that Russia did not provide the Podesta emails. Over the weekend, the Guardian newspaper reported even stronger revelations from Craig Murray, a close associate to Assange. Murray said the CIA was “absolutely making it up.” Murray also stated: “I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.”

Seriously you need to change your sources of info. Then try to use some common sense.

If the CIA and FBI knew certainly that Russia leaked that info they would know the channels that were used. So why wouldn't they have made arrests? The US gov hates whistle blowers.

Yet the previous post say's it was leaked, that is something that the Assagne team would never release if true they have exposed their source to a minimum of life in prison if caught.

So in one post you say it was a whistle blower and in the next you claim correctly that they hate whistle blowers. The first post clearly shows the Assagne team supposedly hanging their source out to dry as unlikely as that would justifiably seem.

The claims of the last 2 posts would indicate that every US agency and the private investigations were all set up. More than unlikely.

I suspect that for people to be hacking the US government from inside the US would be crazy.

If your other story is correct and it was leaked why haven't they arrested the person leaking ?

They know the account that was hacked and how it was done, Had it been a leak there would have been a very limited number of people with access to the account that was compromised and easy to find the culprit ?

Sorry but you posts are contradictory and make no sense.

Trey Gowdy - Its Right Here! Proof Hillary Clinton & FBI Are Corrupt

Trey Gowdy's call to Force the President to enforce all the laws he swore an oath to enforce, not just the laws....or parts of the laws....he wishes to enforce, puts it all in view.....The Organizer from Chicago is as corrupt as the party he leads, as the city he comes from....Chicago.   Chicago, the Cesspool of Corruption, Obama the King of Corruption, & the democrat Party, the Bastion of Corruptness!

Oh........Coincidentally, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton comes from Chicago too....Park Ridge to be exact....seems a lot of democrats slither out of that scummy, corrupt swamp!!!!
