Nobody wants to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration :(
In News by Drew Salisbury / December 9, 2016 President-elect Donald Trump has always been known for attracting big talent. He only surrounds himself with the best and brightest, which is why his reality show “Celebrity Apprentice” featured big names like Ian Ziering, Adam Carolla, and Snooki. But for some reason, nobody of note wants to perform at the future commander-in-chief’s inauguration in January, even though the committee really really wants them to! Usually, A-list artists and musicians jump at the chance to be a part of such a historic event, forgoing any of their normal appearance fees. For example, both Beyoncé and Aretha Franklin, who sang at President Obama’s 2012 and 2008 inaugurations, respectively, were reportedly only paid production and travel expenses. But Trump’s team, desperate to book someone like “Justin Timberlake or Bruno Mars,” is offering up large sums of cash moneys. Unfortunately, there are few takers. “They are willing to pay anything,” a source told TheWrap. “They told me, ‘We’ll pay their fees.’ Most of these artists’ fees are in the six to seven figures.” “Name your price,” a Trump negotiator reportedly said. Previously, it had been reported that Vince Neil of Motley Crüe was slated to perform the inauguration (minus the rest of the Crüe) but his invitation was apparently rescinded after Trump won the election. Other reports that Elton John was performing were similarly denied by the singer’s representatives. “Incorrect,” John’s publicist said. “He will NOT be performing.” So far, we know more about who won’t be playing at the inauguration than who will be. It’s probably safe to assume Kid Rock and Ted Nugent will be there. If folks are lucky, maybe Trump will get Chachi and Antonio Sabato, Jr., to make another appearance. All he needs now is some corn on the cob and carny rides and Trump will have a A+ county fair on his hands. http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/312114/inauguration-donald-trump-paying-artists-bruno-mars-justin-timberlake/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Facebook&utm_term=Autofeed#link_time=1481307017 |

The music industry is leftard central. It would be a career ending decision to play.

mistie excuses all his shortcomings by blaming lefties ... this is just an extension of that.

What we do know is that your favourite kind of people, the dropkick protesters, are going to be kept right away from all sites involved with the inauguration.
So doesn't that gladden the heart sweetie. |

Given Trumps dubious history its a fair bet the cheque would bounce.

Not even Kid Rock?
You figure his white trash ass would be perfect for the intellect that is the Donald Trump voter who put him in office - allegedly. |

When you've sorted yourself out you might be in a position to judge who is trash and who isn't.
Right as of now you know diddly squat in relation to anything that is going on in your immediate environment or the world in general. |

Title: Re: Nobody wants to perform Post by greggerypeccary on Dec 11th, 2016 at 3:08pm What about Rolf Harris? Him and the douche have a bit in common. |

I blame all the white male entitlement in the world. All I see is patriarchy in the environment and it destroys it more and more each passing day. Maybe if I read some Brietbart? Will that teach me some "diddly squat" in the world? Eh, Goebbels? |

There must be plenty of Country-Western singers who would perform ...
And besides, isn't Kanye a supporter? He is A-List. And Loretta Lynn? She is royalty. Hulk Hogan could wrestle Trump in a demonstration. Dennis Rodman could shoot hoops in another demonstration. Wayne Newton is Las Vegas royalty. The list goes on and on with has-beens and the elderly. |

Title: Re: Nobody wants to perform Post by greggerypeccary on Dec 12th, 2016 at 12:05pm I still say Rolf Harris is the obvious choice. Trump likes a bit of wobble board action, and he and Rolf could get together afterwards and compare notes. Rolf might even let him blow his didge. |

There are people who would like to play, but who are too worried about the inevitable backlash from the intolerant 'progressives' in the media and music industry.....http://www.spectator.co.uk/2016/12/its-not-just-kate-bush-big-parts-of-rock-n-roll-are-quietly-right-wing/
I particularly like this paragraph.... "They are strange people, and perhaps mentally unhinged, the liberal absolutists who for 20 years or more have decided what we are allowed to think and say without ever having actual hegemony. The cater-wauling and outrage on social media sites when dippy songwriter Kate Bush mentioned that she rather admired Theresa May was a wonder to behold. Evil, evil! Everybody has to share precisely the same inane, one-dimensional values as them, and recite the same empty shibboleths, or they will be defriended and expunged from existence. These, uh, liberals are surely the least tolerant people in the known universe. I think they have become ever more intolerant of late because they know that at last the game is up, that the rest of us have had enough — in the UK, across Europe, in the USA. And so the shrieking reaches a pitch which is slightly too high for the human ear to comprehend: that’s true dog-whistle politics for you." |

Title: Re: Nobody wants to perform Post by greggerypeccary on Dec 13th, 2016 at 1:52pm Rolf Harris, playing Gary Glitter covers. Trump would be in heaven. |

Listen up Lumpenproletariat and hear what music really sounds like. I hope he does that song from Phantom. |
