something that has never happened before is unlikely ever to happen. not impossible, just unlikely.

If Trump ever gets erected, I will leave the board for good.

My advice is to go down to your local Bunnings and buy a ladder to get over yourselves. Trump will be President and a very good one. Look at the gift he has already given you - the right to be offended! His goal is to liberate the people from an oppressive gov/corporate system ie freedom. Restore their ability to do what Americans do best - innovate and create. Thus returning prosperity. The enemies of Trump is the enemy of mankind - go Trump. |

It sounds simple, dump Trump. Such a move within the Republican Party was possible before the election. They were not brave enough then, and do not believe they are brave enough now. They know the political fallout with their voters is likely to destablise the Party.

His one and only goal is to feather his own nest so that things will be easier for his wife and children once he dies. i.e. to put things in place that will assist them to screw the country, government, and its citizens out of every cent they can get. If you think for one minute that the alleged child rapist has the best interests of anyone else in mind, you are, with all due respect, certifiably insane. |

Yes in your cynical nasty world such would seem that way. But fortunately not all think as you do. There are many idealistic and altruistic people around. Trump is one. If he wasn't why would he not take a Presidents salary and would he be working as hard as he does improving the lives of Americans? Surely he'd out playing golf and attending transgender events like Obama. |

Really? Idealistic and altruistic? Do you think Trump will be divesting himself of his business interests to avoid, y'know, conflicts with his 'idealism and altruism'? |

There was exactly one time, in the election of 1824, that a President was elected with neither a majority of the electoral vote nor a win in the popular vote. Though Andrew Jackson got more of the popular vote and the electoral vote, no candidate got the needed majority of the electoral vote to actually win. Instead, the House of Representatives cast a kind of tie-breaker vote (as required by the 12th Amendment of the Constitution) on February 9th, 1825, to make John Q. Adams the President. At the time, different states elected congressmen on different days in different months across 1824 and 1825, so the House was a mix of newly elected, incoming representatives and some outgoing (or soon to be reelected) representatives. https://www.quora.com/When-has-the-electoral-college-voted-against-the-popular-vote |

If he wanted more money then he could do more property deals, rather than the expensive and time-consuming task of running for president.

Oh, that's easy. He's given up the salary so he can look good in any conflict of interest charges - of which there will be many. He's not out playing golf because only a few people would watch him doing that. Trump wants an audience the size of the world. Trump has never wanted to help anyone. He's made this clear from the start. Trump's entire pitch is about promoting your brand and getting one over the other guy. Read his self help books. Even Trump University stiffed its students. Of course Trump would go into casinos - how do you make money from them? Trump does not want to help people. If he did, he would have a life of service behind him. Trump just wants to be seen with the rich and famous. Who knows? There's a one in a million chance someone like this can make Amerikan great again. You gotta have a dream, no? |

What makes you think Trump is not planning on doing both? If he wasn't, then business divestment would not be an issue. |

Gregory's comments are comical in their stupidity. When most men gets to his (Trumps) age he starts to think about what he will leave behind when he dies. Trump may be a billionaire but he his a pauper compared to the true owners of this world. We know about the thousand or so trillions of debt but who is the creditors? For every debt there has to be a credit! No? Please don't say China or Japan! This is why debt always increases and why it cannot be repaid because all money is loaned into circulation - more debt. We are on a treadmill that's turning faster and faster - time to get off! Its wakey wakey time! Of course Greg, Agnes and others don't want and resent being wakened. So dream on! |
