Title: Support for assault weapon ban at record low
Post by Baronvonrort on Nov 11th, 2016 at 1:24pm
In the US support for an assault weapon ban at record low.

gallup.com/poll/196658/support-assault-weapons-ban-record-low.aspx

FBI data shows twice as many people are killed with fists and feet compared to rifles in the USA, the rifle figures include those scary black semi autos that cause the bed wetters to crap their pants in fear.
google.com.au/?gws_rd=ssl#q=fbi+table+8+expanded

It's easy to recognise those with irrational fears of guns they want to ban the type that scare them instead of the types that are used in the vast majority of the homicides.

True, may as well just ban them all then.

The trouble is they all need guns to protect themselves from everyone else with guns while not understanding that a gunis an offensive weapon and not a defensive one and people WIth guns are more likely to be shot than those WITHOUT.

As Australia comes up to 20 years without a mass shooting. How terrible...:)

And there are just as many guns in private ownership as there were before that piece of sh1t howard got going.

How excellent, hundreds of thousands of registered firearms and no mass shootings, in fact you're extremely unlikely to be shot by anyone owning a registered firearm, but criminals and lunatics are another matter, as they always were.

Could it be that law abiding citizens tend not to commit mass murder even when they are armed.

Hmmmmm.

Lockhart was a mass shooting the gun grabbers like to pretend never happened, the gun grabbers lie in claiming no mass shootings.
New Zealand has had no mass shootings since 1997 despite allowing all the guns we banned.

Every firearm license holder is in the crimtrac database despite the fact they don't have criminal record.
In 2015-2016 we have
Firearm license holders- 1,973,522
Registered guns- 5,798,980
Page 63- acic.gov.au/sites/g/files/net1491/f/2016/10/crimtrac_ar_2015-16_final_071016.pdf
We have nearly doubled the number of firearm license holders since 1996 which means per capita gun ownership is much higher.

In Australia non firearm homicides have declined by a far greater magnitude than firearm homicides since 1996 a fact the gun grabbers ignore when they cherry pick their stats.

The places with the toughest gun laws have the most gun crime, try looking at California and Chicago gun laws.

I guess for the leftards black lives don't matter if it's blacks shooting blacks, it's only outrageous when white cops shoot black criminals

I'm not suggest mass Muslim immigration caused the spike in Sexual assaults.  It could also be the associated falafel consumption.  Falafel makes me horney!

In 1995 our homicide rate by any method was 2.0 per 100K, our firearm homicide rate was 0.3 per 100K.
Therefore in 1995 our non firearm homicide rate was 1.7 per 100K + 0.3 per 100K for firearm homicides = 2.0 per 100K

So why did non firearm homicides decline by a far greater magnitude compared to firearm homicides since 1996, can any gun grabber with irrational fears of guns explain why.

According to ABS data the semi auto rifles we banned in 1996 were used in 27 of the 813 firearm homicides from 1980 to 1995, they were responsible for just over 1% of all firearm deaths from 1980-1995.

Those with irrational fears of guns will tell us how much safer we are by banning the type of guns that scared them yet caused the least deaths
