Trump fomented divisiveness which is now acting against him.

Let it happen.
The state has no water, nor electricity of its own. They would not last a week. |

A mend in that divisiveness is imperative (for the people's sake).
Trump did call for people to not be divided and to work together. What gets me, is to 'make America safe' whereas guns galore seem to rule with zealots that can't handle the outcome of a long hard campaign. How so can guns make America safe? |

Yes I know what you mean, it's kind of like trying to shut the gate after the horses have bolted. So now, the next big move for him, is to call for the "coming together to work together".....there's the next slogan for the peak cap ::) It has been a very intense campaign, and his goofy antics seem to have won him some votes (and I bet none more surprised than Donald himself having won). Remember we had someone like that which had no experience in politics and was a little out there, whom went from Union Leader, to became our Prime Minister, remember Bob Hawke? |

Re: California becoming their own Nation, that they could do, they are big enough, have Los Angeles, Disneyland, Hollywood, beautiful beaches, gosh, so much to see and do there, and they do use an extensive range of solar panels (I took photos of the carpark in Walmart in San Diego, with the overhead cover, all made of solar panels)
But, unfortunately, where does their water come from, as they are having a severe drought (for last 2 years)......how does a state become their own Nation when there is a shortage of water? De-sal? Catchment dams? (for when it does rain). Pipelines from somewhere where there is plenty of water, say, Alaska? Silly that Alaska is part of USA with Canada in between, whose idea was that Alaska should be American? Alaska should be its own. I can't see why it has to be like that, except, for Americans to escape America? I just hope Alaska isn't spoiled, it's such a beautiful place, "The last frontier" as it is called. :-/ |

He didn't go straight from Union Leader to PM. He had three years experience in politics before he got the top job. Trump had no experience in politics. None whatsoever. |

It makes me wonder, why did Trump go for the campaign then? Okay, here is the convo we have in our home, hubby and I have this discussion/debate (because I was sort of hoping Hilary would win)... I said, Trump hasn't any experience, and hubby says, well if it was good enough for Ronald Reagan, then why not Donald Trump, and in fact, the thing is, says he, that Trump owes nothing to anyone (so he is virtually like an independent). That, is what will make things interesting, he is not of the established order within politics, and lets hope, he doesn't get shot or anything. I hope not. Would like to see some changes made that benefit the little people, which is what Trump want's to put into effect. We really do have to embrace the new changes into the political arena, and in a way, I wish it would happen here too, which is what One Nation was trying to do in Australia. BTW.....Pauline was ever so happy Trump won. So if anyone is happy for Trump, then don't knock Pauline. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. |

Reagan had plenty of experience too. He served two terms as Governor of California before becoming President. As far as I know, Trump is the only POTUS who has no prior political or military experience. |

And one has to ask, why would he want to be in the political arena? What motivated him to do so? For the people? Is it such a bad thing to be an independent, and not be owned by anything of the old order? |

One thing for sure re: Reagan, he was a calm personality, in a way, I don't like Trump, I think he is a big mouth.
When I heard he won, I felt quite devastated, like an ominous feeling took hold. I really do feel something won't sit right, and I sure do hope, the people that voted him in, have a good idea why they did so. For their sake. |

That was the general feeling, but now, the tune will change, and what can we do? Just wait and see. Obviously, the people voted, and he won, so that's the outcome, no matter what the political experience is. |

Maybe one reason was to stop WW3. Do you think that was a valid reason? Don't believe what you read in your press. Most people here are very glad the elections are over and there is a new sense of optimism. Trump represents working America. http://heatst.com/politics/kremlin-clinton-victory-would-have-led-to-world-war-3-between-russia-and-the-us/ |

Yes, and so Trump has other experience in a different way, that perhaps reflects to the American people that voted him in. Wish Arnie had run for it, he has "experience" and a personality with pizazz....with only these 2 as a choice, me thinks he would have won :) |

Arnie wasnt born in america and that disqualifies him in the xenophobic american constitution. The idea that Trumps experience s a businessman qualifies him as PResident is ridiculous. As if they are in any way the same. Any with 4 bankruptcies, countless failures and 4000 lawsuits and current criminal investigations, even the claim to be a businessman shoudl be disputed. Trump said everything people of low IQ wanted to hear. That is all. And now he will do what he wants - which will be very, very different. And probably dreadful. |

Well there must be a lot of poor people in America with low IQ then who is to blame for that? The government perhaps? And you think the American Government to date hasn't been guilty of any wrong doings in past? Who put the country into the huge deficit that it has? Answer: The government. Who likes to go to war for profit? At least, with what Richdude said, the war with Russia won't happen now. So that can be taken that a positive has already happened with Trump's win. Even tonight, on the news, I hear, Hilary says that we must all keep an open mind. |

Yes... One of the most bizarre cons of the race... Trump : the working class hero!!?? Now, does any of the following seem even remotely reflective of Trump's life.... [olist] As soon as your born they make you feel small, By giving you no time instead of it all, Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. They hurt you at home and they hit you at school, They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool, Till you're so smacking crazy you can't follow their rules, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years, Then they expect you to pick a career, When you can't really function you're so full of fear, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV, And you think you're so clever and classless and free, But you're still smacking peasents as far as I can see, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. There's room at the top they are telling you still, But first you must learn how to smile as you kill, If you want to be like the folks on the hill, A working class hero is something to be. A working class hero is something to be. If you want to be a hero well just follow me, If you want to be a hero well just follow me [/olist] |

NorthbyNorth would feel at home out there on the streets, vandalising property, assaulting police, trashing someone else's neighbourhood.
All in the name of "progressive". One of the Bubble Children of the left. |
