I want it now! 2016 record heat continues in USA with a sweltering East coast as evidenced by watching the US Open Tennis. There have been strings of heat waves in USA since the start of spring and 2016 is on target to be the hottest year in recorded history. Bobby, 7 billion people can't be wrong. When it comes to humidity, the conditions will not be as extreme as that of July & August.
However, people are advised to take precautions during hot and humid weather. Keeping yourself hydrated and minimizing physical activity during afternoon should be point number one on your to-do list.
The areas that will not be affected by the increasing temperatures are interior mid-Atlantic and New England. The temperatures in these areas can be slashed by 10-20 degrees. However, along much of the mid-Atlantic coast, temperatures will remain near or above average during next week. |

It was the hottest month worldwide on record, according to NASA's global average surface temperatures. Such data has been recorded since 1880.
July was 1.51 degrees higher than average. The previous record-holder for hottest month was July 2011.
July's record-breaking heat follows a wave of shattered records this year — the first six months of the year have been the warmest half-year on record.
The first six months of 2016 were the warmest six-month period in NASA's modern temperature record, which dates to 1880.
Rising temperatures have caused some unusual effects in North America, including spurring cockroaches to fly. A study looking at extreme climate events in 2014 reported global warming played a role in a severe flood in Canada, leading some to say the same about the recent Louisiana flooding.

In July, the average temperature in the USA was 75.3 degrees, nearly 2 degrees hotter than the 20th century average, the NOAA reported. In Florida, the statewide average rose 3 degrees to 84 degrees, making it the second warmest month on record and the hottest July on record.
