Muslims in Italy say polygamy must be recognised as a civil right in the same way as same sex marriage has now been legalised.

They say that they don't like homosexual marriage but they have to accept it and polygamy must be recognised in the same way.

Come to think about it, don't we have de facto polygamy here for muslims.

They can have one legal wife and as many de factos as they like. All the kids will get family benefits, child support, whatever is going and I doubt the men will ever get prosecuted.

Entitlements only available for families who can produce a legal marriage licence.

They are smarter than Christians, using homosexual marriage as a stalking horse for polygamy.

I don't expect though that demonstration of tolerance will last long.

It's probably inevitable that polygamy will be recognised in Australia, may as well put down some ground rules, you are free to marry as many men or women as you like, but the state will only give benefits to one.  The rest are up to you to support.
