Title: Re: Church hostage takers killed in Rouen Post by greggerypeccary on Jul 26th, 2016 at 7:57pm A terrible event, and I feel for the family of that poor dead priest. However, what sort of God would let a priest be killed in such a horrific manner, in a Church? Surely this makes people question their faith :-/ |

A priest has been butchered by knifemen who cut his throat after bursting into a French church and taking hostages before being shot dead by police.
Five people including the priest, two nuns and two parishioners were held by assailants who raided the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, near the city of Rouen in Normandy at 9am. The clergyman was knifed to death during the attack while another hostage is fighting for their life in hosptial. The two attackers have been 'neutralised' by elite marksmen in a dramatic police operation. At least one of the men was dressed in Islamic clothing, according to French media reports, and an anti-terrorist unit has already taken up the investigation. link |

Yes, I've heard rumours of the "cut throat" being more of a beheading.
I would say there's trouble-a-brewin' but I've been sayin that for years, and with all the poo thats been going down lately, anything could be the straw that broke the camels back. |

I'd say the consequences are more important than anything else.
IF this is all true - I doubt they would be able to sanitise it - there will be enormous consequences. There may be vigilante retribution and the political fallout in France and possibly Germany may be a bigshock. |

Title: Re: Church hostage takers killed in Rouen Post by brumbie on Jul 26th, 2016 at 9:15pm
Well I guess that's it then, history is going to repeat itself even though both sides of politics have tried their best to stop it...Islam is trying to push itself West again and Europe, as in the past will repel it and send it back to where it came from. Whoever was stupid enough to think the Crusades was anything more than the West defending itself should read the truth here:
The Jihad That Led to the Crusades http://pamelageller.com/2015/02/memo-to-president-obama-the-jihad-that-lead-to-the-crusades.html/ The threat of Islam Misconceptions about the Crusades are all too common. The Crusades are generally portrayed as a series of holy wars against Islam led by power-mad popes and fought by religious fanatics. They are supposed to have been the epitome of self-righteousness and intolerance, a black stain on the history of the Catholic Church in particular and Western civilization in general. A breed of proto-imperialists, the Crusaders introduced Western aggression to the peaceful Middle East and then deformed the enlightened Muslim culture, leaving it in ruins. For variations on this theme, one need not look far. See, for example, Steven Runciman's famous three-volume epic, History of the Crusades, or the BBC/A&E documentary, The Crusades, hosted by Terry Jones. Both are terrible history yet wonderfully entertaining. So what is the truth about the Crusades? Scholars are still working some of that out. But much can already be said with certainty. For starters, the Crusades to the East were in every way defensive wars. They were a direct response to Muslim aggression—an attempt to turn back or defend against Muslim conquests of Christian lands. http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2005/mayweb-only/52.0.html And so it goes on...but unless we face the truth and realise that, no matter what side of politics you are on, that THIS IS JUST NOT ABOUT POLITICS...It's about bloody survival..and as soon as both sides get this and put aside their stupid politics then...we just might keep this bloody World alive...FFS! |

There revered BBC is carrying this story at the top of the page. Seems they think it is important. But no mention of the fact that this is another MUZLIM atrocity. That kind of omission is consistent with their overall appeasement of Islam, and shows how close Islam in the West is to shutting down any criticism of the wonderful religion and its tactics spelled out in the Koran.

Yadda, "Why afford protection etc etc"?
Good question. Probably two answers. First we had "Enlightenent" which engendered the progression of liberal philosophy, including the principle of tolerance. Second, The Enlightenment, funnily enough, was soon followed by several centuries of religious wars that left deep scars in the European tradition and reinforced again the wisdom of tolerance AMONG OURSELVES. And now we are hung up on tolerance to the extent that it includes those who wish to kill us, as well as those who wish to undermine the foundations of a civilised society in many ways. |

people like Le Pen really are gaining momentum and it is a classic feedback loop.
the more the islamists attack, the more the hardliners like Le Pen gain traction, leading to more division, leading to more incidents and so the cycle continues. It would appear multiculturalism ( the brave new world policy of the left ) is in its death throes. But the interesting fact is that Le Pen and Gert Wilders and Pauline and Donald did not kill it, No, not at all. It was or will be killed off by the islamists.(who are also the darlings of the left). The left must be simpletons not to realise this. And the more they try to hold these 2 opposite and untenable positions, the more these positions crumble. in fact, ISIS and Le pen are in a symbiotic relationship, Dark days for the left. Stupidity will do this to you every time. Unwinding 40 or 50 years of stupidity could take 40 or 50 years or it may actually disintegrate into a form of civil war. the longer the leadership remain inactive against the weeds, the more they spread. 1 years weed= 7 years seed. they have a massive clean up ahead of them and they should have started yesterday |

For someone who pretends to be so knowledgeable, as well as claiming to have read the Bible, it is amazing that you think the death of a priest is going to cause people to lose faith. What do you think happened to Peter? What do you think happened to Paul? What do you think was the fate of many of Jesus' followers in the early church? And speaking of Jesus, even God's own son was crucified. I don't give a crap what you personally believe. I don't think you even know what you believe. The way you jump from one position to another from thread to thread on this forum shows that you have absolutely no grounding in anything. But it is amazing that you can be so ignorant of the history of Christianity to think that one victim of an evil worshipping killer is going to cause people to lose faith. One of the central messages at the foundation of Christianity is that people choose to do evil, and God will allow people to act on the evil in their heart until the day of judgement. This man who killed this priest did evil and will one day be judged for it. That's what Christianity holds to, so there is no need for a loss of faith. Of course, had you ever read a history book and ever read the bible (like you claim to have) you would know this. But all you have ever read are Doctor Who books and STI pamphlets, as you are an uneducated, unemployed, pervert, and nothing more. |

How many 'Own Goals' is it now that the French authorities have committed against France because of their reluctance to intern suspects and not permit bail for their jailed Muslims who are a risk to the community?
For as long as they keep playing games of political correctness these horrors will continue. And then we have Nicolas Sarkozy calling for 'merciless' responses ... which means what? He doesn't say. Just bullshit rhetoric to up his chances of getting elected again. And these cretins like Hollande, Sarkozy, and Merkel are the very same idiots who were only so recently condemning Trump for calling for a stop to Muslim immigration. i"French authorities admitted that both Kermiche and his partner were subject to security 'S' files, meaning they were known terror suspects who should have been under surveillance. Kermiche was living with his parents in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray with an electronic tag on his ankle, after spending time in prison in both France and Switzerland". "One attacker named as 19-year-old Adel Kermiche, known to police for twice trying to join the terror group in Syria". "He was jailed but released on bail - under conditions that allowed him to roam free in the morning and kill the priest French authorities revealed they arrested a third man, a 16-year-old Saint-Etienne resident, relating to the attack Nicolas Sarkozy calls for 'merciless' response as ex-PM said 'everything is being "done to trigger a war of religions' link |

Just so, Quantum. Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. Matthew 13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. Luke 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. We are the gold and silver which our creator is refining, in our choices. 2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. |

As I said to you at the start Greg, if there is a god, it does not cause such things to happen or sanction them. People have free will and they do it all by themselves. |
