The last few times I've tried attaching a photo or jpeg file, I've gotten this warning

With this file speed_test.JPG (71534 KB) you exceeds the maximum allowed upload-directory volume.

what gives? I'm even getting it when trying to attach jpegs I've put up dozens of times previously

when I pull up the images on my hard drive they are showing as 19k ... it's only after I attach them that they somehow balloon to 71 000 kb

Unless we each have an upload directory and yours is full at 71000.

Do you have dropbox ( folder in Desktop which copies automatically to cloud storage on the net)

I usually save mine to dropbox public directory and right click on the file to copy the public link

Then use [img ]public link[ /img]

Upload to Photobucket, and then use the resizer there before copying it to insert into your post.

This is a handy add on for Explorer that allows you to shrink images by right clicking on them. Resizing is done on your pC

Ha! I've had that installed for ages now. It's FREE and it works!
