US election: Hillary Clinton blames State Department for misuse of classified documents on email
Posted 15 minutes ago Hillary Clinton has responded to the FBI's scathing assessment that she was "extremely careless" with classified government secrets, by shifting the blame onto her former colleagues at the US State Department. After maintaining for more than a year that she did not send or receive classified information through her unauthorised private email server, Mrs Clinton acknowledged she may have at least unwittingly done so, three days after the FBI concluded this happened at least 110 times. The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said she "certainly did not believe" that she was handling classified information on her server at the time, but emphasised that she followed the lead of her subordinates on whether information was classified. "These are experienced diplomats, they have expertise in handling classified material," Mrs Clinton said. "They were not careless and the material that they sent, they did not believe that was classified." Mrs Clinton, who was the department's most senior classifying authority during her four-year tenure at its helm, did not address the FBI's conclusion that she herself sent information on topics classified as "top secret", the highest level, through the private server she kept in her basement. It is a crime to mishandle classified information, and while FBI director James Comey said there was evidence Mrs Clinton or her aides may have broken these laws, there was not enough evidence of criminal intent for a prosecution. In an unusual 15-minute announcement explaining the FBI's findings, Mr Comey ended up dismaying both Republicans and Democrats. While Mrs Clinton's Republican opponents have fumed at the decision not to file criminal charges, Mrs Clinton and her staff have disputed some of Mr Comey's criticisms that undermine her argument she has better judgement than businessman Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential candidate. Clinton v FBI The FBI's James Comey has undercut some of Hillary Clinton's defence in using private email. Here is where they diverge. Mr Comey called her and her staff "extremely careless" and said that any "reasonable" government employee should have known such information should not be aired in emails. Her server was so poorly secured the FBI could not eliminate the possibility it had not been hacked by the country's enemies, Mr Comey said. Asked if she agreed that she was "extremely careless", Mrs Clinton said she was not, adding that Mr Comey had "clarified" his remarks. It was unclear what clarification Mrs Clinton was referring to. In lengthier comments before Congress, Mr Comey again spoke of Mrs Clinton's carelessness and "real sloppiness", adding that it seemed she was not "particularly sophisticated with respect to classified information". John Smith wasn't born a dufus, it crept over him like ivy grows on a tree.
One of the final symptoms is the tendency to end every post with a laughing smiley, as if this might somehow ward off criticism. It doesn't. |

..
The FBI Director may have been incorrect in his assumptions regarding whether or not Hillary Clinton should be indicted on criminal charges for her gross negligence in handling Top Secret & Highly Classified Government Documents & Information on her private email servers, for which she had no government permission, at any level, to do. The call on indictment is not his call, it is the call of a Federal Prosecutor. The FBI Director can only offer his personal opinion regarding indictment.....which he did. Other than making sure the FBI investigation's findings are delivered to the appropriate authorities, his obligations end the moment he turns them over, which preceded his statements. Now it's up to Hillary Clinton to respond to the facts contained in the FBI Findings....not his opinion.....no, the actual findings. Hillary Clinton will have to answer to the Court of Public Opinion......the American People.....answer to Congress.....the representatives of the American People.......& answer to any Federal Court that may or may not decide to prosecute her, irregardless of Mr. Comey's personal opinion(s) suggesting otherwise. She may hem & haw....dance to & fro....& slither from here to there, but in the end she must answer to the statements below: from the FBI's Investigation on Clinton Source: CNN Quote:
As noted by the WE in the above statements, the Director was speaking of cumulative findings from within the investigation completed by the FBI, & these were not Comey's personal opinions, but rather the actual findings of the FBI Probe into Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton, which was delivered to the proper authorities for further determination, a determination the FBI Director has no say in, or control over whatsoever. I can't wait to see how she tries to dodge on those issues of fact......but dodge she will, because when confronted with the truth, as a liar, it's her only option. dodge Australian Oxford Dictionary, 2nd. Edition © Oxford University Press 2004 • v. Intr. [often foll. by about, behind, round] move quickly to one side or quickly change position, to elude a pursuer, blow, etc. (dodged behind the chair). (of a bell in change-ringing) move one place contrary to the normal sequence. • n. A quick movement to avoid or evade something. A clever trick or expedient. The dodging of a bell in change-ringing. .. |

it may be common, but that doesn't make it right. Only an idiot would call an emoticon of someone crying (for eg) a smiley ... |

Something like 'act naturally' or better yet 'seriously funny' & 'found missing'. A 'crying smiley' fits right into your logic....on it's head. 'Good grief', it's the 'same difference'. 'You're wrong', but we'll all pretend that you're right.....simple as that....so, suck it up princess & deal with it....life marches on |
