Two young children who were allegedly left home alone for two days while their step-mother was overseas were crying and screaming as police officers took them to safety, neighbours said yesterday.

The 28-year-old woman was met by child abuse squad detectives at Perth International Airport on Thursday evening after it was reported she allegedly left her four-year-old and six-year-old step-children at their Cloverdale home to fend for themselves.

It is believed the woman travelled to Bali on Tuesday to renew her visa while the children’s father was also overseas.

The father was expected to be questioned at Perth Airport on Sunday night.

Well you can bet she's going to have an awkward conversation with the children's father.

Personally the woman is a total dropkick and Raven hopes she gets the book thrown at her.

You can imagine how scared the children were, being home alone and probably not knowing how to feed themselves.

my kids are that age ... I don't leave them alone for 5 minutes, let alone for 3 days.

Although if I left the tv on they probably wouldn't even notice that I was gone :D :D

I am a fan of resilience training and i think helicopter mothers are misguided but this case is a tad extreme.

she was having ME time... yes even step mothers are entitled to ME time...

this as you have said is extreme.. but never the less. it is todays selfish generation

she will get counselling  and may be sentenced to a course of parenting lessons... .. but on the whole they will find a zillion excuses for this behavior..

It wasn't her fault, apparently.

"The post office lost my children's passports ... that's what has caused all this hassle," she said.

"If you want to leave the country to go overseas you have to have your passport, that's common sense."

If she went overseas to renew her visa then she is not a citizen or permanent resident. Deport the stupid bitch and give her children to someone responsible.

"In the interim, police had on Wednesday gone to an address in Cloverdale and found the children inside. There were no adults in the home and the door had been left unlocked."


You don't wanna leave your door unlocked in Cloverdale, at any time.

The children aren't hers, she's a step mother(f....r) who has a very valid reason  ::) for leaving them.  Jail is too good for the b I t c h. >:(


I can not believe some people, and how they treat children. Appalling, despicable  sub human. It breaks my heart and makes me cry for the innocent babies/children.
