Title: Drove through Picton this afternoon Post by bogarde73 on Jun 10th, 2016 at 8:46pm
Looks a bit like a ghost town.
Most of the main street seems to be boarded up with heaps of rubbish outside shops everywhere. Can't imagine what some of the houses at the back of the town must be like. Must have been a raging flood but the creek that it came from was flowing quietly. |

the trouble with these creeks is they are never cleared..dead trees lay there in the hope they will rot and then when torrential rain does hit...they all get washed down and block.. ::).you see it all the time... funny how you never see the greenies out there in their own time cleaning up these places isnt it????> :( |

Leaving the debris to rot encourages tourism from people like Cods who come to observe the misery of the flood victims. They could make money from a pointed stick hire franchise. Tourists could be encouraged to get out of their car and poke the wretched flood victims. |

it wasnt me that went to Picton...I have a feeling I have never seen an aboriginal out there helping put out fires or clear debris either.. funny that....they prefer to see people lose their homes and even lives I guess.... |

Of course you won't if you never go. However that doesn't stop your mind fantasizing all sorts of racist fantasies involving wretched disaster victims. |

Aborigines don't help during disasters. They are like many blacks during the New Orleans disaster, they'd loot .

I don't think I've been to Picton since I bought the Skoda, so the last time must have been in the Magna - although I have been there a couple of times in a 1962 Wolseley..... |
