I went to the city on the train the other day.   Train was packed by only the sound of the train itself could be heard.  Most passengers had earphones in, or were texting others.  At lunch, most were eating whilst texting, and even when walking, they wander aimlessly around the street, self absorbed in their own instant communication mode.  I wonder if this is the end result to come?

When I was a kid the whole family would gather around the single TV that was in the house and watch whatever was on, as a family, now the modern family retreats to each corner of the house to watch their own show.

On the one hand I feel saddened that we don't watch sh!t as a family any more yet on the other hand I'm glad that I don't have to sit and watch the sh!t they are watching either.  ;D

it isnt easy to find shows that suit all ages.....well thats what I have found having my grandson staying with me....I like watching Rake but really is it suitable for an 11 year old.. the language ..well what can I say..

fortunately we laugh a lot through the show.. so when it gets a little huhummmmmmmmm I start laughing and that set him off..till  that bits gone...lolol..

but almost every thing on tele now is very explicit

LO yep mate - I have the real thing, done all me practising a long time ago.   And as an exserviceman yourselfyou would appreciate that some of those "practise" ones only looked good after 10 thousand beers! :)

It's exactly where our saviours want the youth of today.

Sad really, when I'm with friends we talk, laugh, drink, and then when I'm with family or work that's where I am.

I don't need to tell my friends that I have farted or I just squashed a spider.

And if I did they would probably tell me where to go.
