NORWEGIAN GOV’T. SEIZES 5 CHILDREN FROM PARENTS FOR ALLEGED ‘CHRISTIAN INDOCTRINATION’
Bondariu family not allowed to be Christian. While allowing massive Muslim migration and introduction of Sharia law Norwegian government is preventing parents to give their children Christian education. A Christian family in Norway has lost its appeal to have its children returned, after the government forcibly removed five children from their home. The public is reacting with outrage. Marius Bodnariu, wife Ruth, former members of the Pentecostal Church in Bucharest, moved to Naustdal, 10 years ago, where they raised five children. As reported by Marius' brother Daniel, on November 16, Norway's child welfare services took away the Bodnarius' two oldest children, showing up at their school and removing them from class without their parents' knowledge. Police later that day arrived at the Bodnarius' home and also forcibly removed the two older boys, leaving Ruth with her three-month-old baby, who was taken away the following day by police as well. Two days later, child welfare services notified the parents that their children were in the care of two separate foster families and were "integrating" well. One of the officials reportedly said to Ruth, "The kids don't even miss you. What kind of parents are you?" Marius and Ruth were later informed by the government that they were guilty of "Christian radicalism and indoctrination." http://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/norwegian-govt.-seizes-5-children-from-parents-for-alleged-christian-indoct |

Yes it's a dangerous world to be chrisrian. Much better off to be a Muslim or a gay/transgender atheist.
But if you're a child in Norway and your parents can't agree what sex you are, don't worry the state will decide for you. |

http://www.norwaynews.no/norway-government-called-out-for-seizing-bodnariu-kids-from-christian-parents/
Crikey! The Norwegian govt has been globally condemned! Norway’s act of separating the Bodnariu children from their Christian parents to prevent them from being “indoctrinated” has been called out by more than a hundred lawyers from the United States and abroad as well as members of the European Parliament as a serious transgression against humanitarian and moral laws in both international and domestic scopes. “We find the facts of this international incident unacceptable not only on legal grounds but also on humanitarian and moral grounds. We view these transgressions as grievous breaches of domestic and international law. Therefore, it is important that Norway immediately release the children back to their biological parents,” read a letter signed by more than 100 lawyers and parliamentarians and sent to Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, according to Christian Post. The five children ranging from ages three months to nine years old were seized and separated from their parents, Marius and Ruth Bodnariu, on November 16 and 17 in 2015 by the Barnevernet or Norwegian Child Protective Services and placed in different foster homes away from their home, said Marius’ brother, Daniel Bodnariu. The youngest child was already returned in early April. However, Barnevernet has already filed court documents to terminate the parents’ rights for the remaining children after the couple’s appeal was rejected on November 27. The children were taken based on the daughter’s school principal who worried that they were being raised by “radical” Christians who “sincerely held Christian beliefs.” HSLDA Director of Global Outreach Michael Donnelly expressed that those who knew Marius and Ruth see them as caring and responsible parents so there are no legitimate concerns about their parenting styles and that the Barnevernet’s acts are ruthless. Houston-based Peter Costea asserted that this action was motivated by the couple’s religious faith and called the acts as nothing short of criminalizing Christianity. |

Title: Re: 5 children sized from parents for being Christian Post by Raven on May 19th, 2016 at 2:58pm
A look from a more reputable news source says the children were taken because of suspected child abuse.
Norway has a ridiculous law where corporal punishment is completely illegal. The mother admitted that on occasion she spanks her children when they've done something naughty. Under Norwegian law there can be no "physical correction" of children. Raven does not think there is a religious reason behind the Barnevernet's (Norway's child protection agency) decision to take the children. Norway is just an odd country. The most common reason Barnevernet take children into care is simply "lack of parenting skills". That, in short, is the reason Barnevernet gave for taking away the four-month-old baby daughter of a young Norwegian father called Erik and his Chinese wife in the country's second city, Bergen. Home videos of the little girl when she was three and four months old show her lying in her cot, apparently alert and responsive as she interacts with her parents. But Barnevernet said lack of eye contact, and other signs, revealed she was suffering serious psychological harm. They said her parents couldn't meet her emotional needs, partly because her mother was depressed, and Erik - to quote one social worker - was "simple". However, Erik's never been diagnosed with any condition other than a slight lack of short-term memory when he was small. And the baby was never examined clinically by any health professional to establish if anything was wrong with her, and if so whether the parents could be at fault. Just days before Barnevernet started their urgent assessment of the family, a doctor at their local health clinic found the little girl was developing normally. But that wasn't mentioned at the court hearing that later upheld the care order. Nor, according to the girl's grandfather, Yngve, was other evidence the family put forward to try to win her back. In the several years since then, Yngve - the Director of the State Archive in Bergen - has pressed the authorities, without success, to let him and his wife Bente, a professional photographer, take their granddaughter into their care. Once a pillar of the establishment - he was personally appointed to his job by the King of Norway - Yngve is now a bitter critic of his country's child welfare policy. Yngve believes Barnevernet first became concerned about his granddaughter because initially she was cared for partly by her Chinese grandmother, to allow her mother to rest. That's common practice in China, but not in Norway, and Yngve thinks it made the authorities suspicious. Some suggest children with a foreign parent are 4 times more likely than other children in Norway to be forcibly taken from their families. Norway's Barnevernet |

lots of stuff about this case on the internet, especially if you google Facebook Bodnariu or facebook save the children ... the story is pretty much right. The girls were pulled aside at school and Barnevernet (Norweign child services) was called because they were overheard singing a christian song ... after hours of questioning (and coaching) the daughter admitted that her father did on occasion spank her if she was naughty. Barnevernet then took all 5 kids from the family, including taking a 3 month toddler from his mother whilst she was breastfeeding. The toddler was given back about 6 months later, but the other 4 kids are still in SEPERATE foster homes the biggest problem with the Norweign system is that the child services are a closed system. The only expert witnesses they accept evidence from (child psychologists, social workers etc) are those employed by them. Barnevernet is accountable to absolutely NO ONE and their funding is determined by the number of kids they place. You as a parent have no rights once Barnevernet is involved, some parents have even lost their kids only to find out that the foster parents who took their kids in, moved overseas and took the kids with them. |

child abuse? the kid only admitted to a spanking (not child abuse) after hours of coaching. Barenvernet were called because the kids were overheard singing christian songs. At that time, there was no mention of spanking by anybody. The Bodnariu family have since had all sorts of character witnesses and assessments from independent child psychologists and social workers, and all found the children were thriving and there was no evidence of mistreatment ... but the way Barnevernet works, that is inadmissible as evidence because they didn't work for Barnevernet |

Norway does not look particularly hostile to religion:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Norway The Evangelical Lutheran Church is still established and administered through a Government department. There is, however, an ever ongoing political debate on separation of church and state.[17] The state also supports religious aid organisations such as Norwegian Church Aid financially. Bishops are formally nominated by the Norwegian Monarch,[18] who is the head of the church, and clerical salaries and pensions regulated by law. Clergy train in the theological faculties of the University of Oslo and the University of Tromsř, as well as Misjonshřgskolen (School of Mission and Theology) in Stavanger and Menighetsfakultetet (MF Norwegian School of Theology) in Oslo. Menighetsfakultetet is by far the most important educational institution for the Norwegian clergy. Men and women can both become members of the clergy of the church. The church has two sacraments namely Baptism and Holy Communion. In Norway as of 2013, 76.1% of the population are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as compared to 96% in the 1960s.[1] Kevin Boyle's 1997 global study of freedom of religion states that "Most members of the state church are not active adherents, except for the rituals of birth, confirmation, weddings, and burials. Some 3 per cent on average attend church on Sunday and 10 per cent on average attend church every month."[19] Other religious groups operate freely and people are also free not to be affiliated with any religion or life stance. Approximately 13% are not members of any official religious or philosophical communities, while about 9% of the population are members of other religious or philosophical communities outside the Church of Norway. Roman Catholics and Muslims are each about 2.4% of the population and have been rising rapidly in numbers in recent years. About 1.7% of the population lists the Norwegian Humanist Association as a life stance instead of a religion. Orthodox, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs are present in very small numbers, together comprising less than 1 percent of the population.[3] Religious education[edit] In 2007, the European Court of Human Rights ruled in favor of Norwegian parents who had sued the Norwegian state. The case was about a subject in compulsory school, kristendomskunnskap med religions- og livssynsorientering (Teachings of Christianity with orientation about religion and philosophy), KRL. The applicants complained that the refusal to grant full exemption from KRL prevented them from ensuring that their children received an education in conformity with their atheist views and philosophical convictions. A few years earlier, in 2004, the UN Committee on Human Rights in Geneva had given its support to the parents.[21] In 2008 the subject was renamed to Religion, livssyn og etikk (Religion, philosophy and ethics).[22] The majority of this course is however still tied to Christianity. Philosophy and ethics are not properly introduced until after compulsory school. The largest Christian school in Norway has 1,400 pupils and 120 employees.[23] Kristne Friskolers Forbund is an interest group of approximately 130 Christian schools and colleges, including 12 Christian private schools.[24] |

It's not Norways attitude to religion that is the problem, it's the absolute powers coupled with the lack of accountability given to it's child protection services (Barnevernet) that is the problem. What makes it even more so of a problem is that the Barnevarnets funding is determined (in part) by the number of children it re-houses |

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnevernet
Approximately 4000 people who were formerly taken into custody by Child Welfare Services have sought compensation for suffering and abuse while living in orphanages or child protection between 1945 and 1980. Of these, 2637 have received compensation, in total $220 million (2010).[3][4] Bhattacharya children[edit] The service has been severely criticized by the Government of India for taking away two children of an Indian couple who were working in Norway.[5][6] Berit Aarset, who heads Human Rights Alert, Norway, has called the incident "state kidnapping". She says, "This is not the first time such a thing is happening in Norway ...the legal system favours the Child Welfare Services and they do what they want all the time... quite often when a Norwegian is married to a non-Norwegian they also do the same thing; they also do this to asylum seekers and in almost every case they say one of the parents have a mental problem just to make their case strong ...that is what has happened in the Bhattacharya case too."[7] The case of the Bhattacharya children involved Norway's foreign minister (Jonas Gahr Střre) meeting with a special envoy from India in 2012.[8] Rutkowski kidnappings[edit] In two widely publicized cases, the Polish private investigator Krzysztof Rutkowski has helped children (a Russian-born boy and a Polish girl) escape Norwegian foster care and reunite with their parents.[9] Later Norwegian authorities claim for return of the children has been declined by Polish court as unjustified.[10] Michalák case[edit] In May 2011, the two sons of Eva Michaláková and husband who originate from the Czech Republic were removed by the Child Welfare Services due to suspicion of child sexual abuse by the father; allegations denied by the couple.[11] Michaláková has since divorced her husband and continues to reside in Norway. Michaláková continues to pursue custody of her children through various channels, including the European Court of Human Rights where her complaint was rejected without prejudice for non-exhaustion of domestic remedies.[12] The case has been discussed by Miloš Zeman president of the Czech republic,[13] in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and the foreign minister Lubomír Zaorálek has sent a diplomatic note to Oslo regarding the matter.[14] On January 20, 2015, the Norwegian Embassy in Prague published a press release explaining the Norwegian official diplomatic position on the Michalák case.[15] Several other politicians also got involved in efforts to get the children of Eva Michaláková back to their mother. The first Czech politician to do so was deputy Jitka Chalánková (TOP 09).[16] Since November 2014 also two Czech MEPs Tomáš Zdechovský and Petr Mach have got involved in this case.[17] Norway is not a party to the 1996 Hague Convention on Parental Responsibility and Protection of Children, however the government is in the process of its ratification.[citation needed] Bodnariu family[edit] Main article: Bodnariu case In November 2015, a new case arose to public attention involving children of foreign nationals being removed from custody by Barnevernet. Marius and Ruth Bodnariu, a Romanian-Norwegian couple of Pentecostal faith are accused of using physical discipline against their children.[18] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodnariu_case Under Norwegian law, authorities are obliged to respect both the children’s and the parents' right to privacy. Therefore, Barnevernet has not made details about the case public. |

I felt that SBS took the easy route ... there was a lot more worse cases they could have gotten into but didn't.
Although I'm not sure if that was SBS's choice or the people involved refused to be interviewed. Barnevernet is threatening to withhold the kids for longer if parents post on social media or comment to the media. Still, lets hope Barnevernet makes some changes and cleans up its act. |
