Israeli security forces 'killed 25 Palestinian children' in three months, UNICEF says

Twenty-five Palestinian children were killed in the last three months of 2015 during a wave of violence, the United Nations' children's agency says.

A report by UNICEF said it was concerned with the excessive use of force in incidents where Palestinian children were shot dead by Israeli security forces after allegedly carrying out stabbing attacks.

It said more than 1,300 Palestinian children were injured during the spike in attacks, almost all in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, while three Israeli children were hurt in the West Bank and west Jerusalem.

UNICEF cited the example on October 25 in Hebron in the West Bank of a 17-year-old girl who was "taken by IDF (Israel Defence Forces) soldiers for a search, shot with at least five bullets and killed".

"Israeli authorities said that she had attempted to stab a policeman, however an eyewitness stated that she was not presenting any threat at the time she was shot, and was shouting that she did not have a knife," it said.

Compared with the high toll for the October-December period, UNICEF recorded four Palestinian children killed and 165 injured between July and September.

UNICEF also voiced alarm over the number of Palestinian children aged between 12 and 17 detained by the Israeli army.

It said the tally stood at 422 at the end of December according to the Israeli prison service, the highest recorded since March 2009.

Israeli law allows Palestinian children from the age of 12 to be put on trial.

Since the October outbreak of a wave of unrest, 204 Palestinians and 28 Israelis have been killed.

Most of the Palestinians killed were carrying out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks, according to Israeli authorities.

I dont see images of Palestinians sitting on the top of hills watching their missiles being fired into populated areas.

Last I read Iran had 160,000 misiles pointed at Israel, even though they're not nukes again a no win situation.

I feel sorry for the Palestinians, they agreed to let the Jews share their land and to form the country Israel.

If only they had know the definition of sharing in the Israeli dictionary they might have had a change of heart.

How about this. Maybe if the Palistinian authorities spent some of the billions upon billions of international aid on their people instead of spending it on weapons,  they could build up a society Israel actually has a hope of making peace with.

Just as there are total monsters on the Israeli side,  there are many more in the Arab world who use the Palistinian as pawns to achieve their objective of making Israel the pariah of the world and fetishising over the conflict with dead Palistinian kids the least of their concern.

Hamas charter is to wipe out Israel, remove Israel from the earth and kill every single Israeli, how do you negotiate with that.

Article 13 of Hamas charter:
Article 13 There is no negotiated settlement possible. Jihad is the only answer.[21]

If Hamas or the people of Palestine took the same path as Mandela and renounced violence then the rest of the world could then support them, but while Palestine uses violent means the world has no option but to support Israel.
