But the first two or three episodes of Masterchef are never really great viewing. It doesn’t get interesting until they have selected all the contestants and begun the various challenges.
As for professional cooks being in the show, wasn’t there one person a few years ago who was disqualified because they had some experience as a casual employee at a restaurant? I would rather watch Masterchef than MKR though. I only watched three episodes of MKR this year before I lost interest. I still don’t know which couple won, nor do I feel any compelling need to find out. |

Ditto. I start watching it when the selection period is over. I usually watch the catch-ups over the weekend but I notice that they are not repeating it this weekend so I will wait til they do. |

The only turnoff is that the contestants are so emotional and physically demonstrative. Maybe that comes from all of them living in a house together. MKR is miles ahead of them.

I never think to turn on the tv in the daytime. Each episode was repeated on Sunday ... but I forgot to watch that too 8-) |

Reynold is amazing and it was a pleasure to see him back. So humble and coy.
I intend to try his new dessert bar/restaurant at some point. http://www.goodfood.com.au/good-food/food-news/just-open-koi-dessert-bar-chippendale-20160105-glwy7z.html |
