In what I believed was the worst calibre of candidates
for a US election there has been much discussion over
who was the worst or better option Trump or Clinton.

To me it is Clinton............ and here is an article that I believe rings true in much about what the US has done over the years and is still doing today.

And Clinton is just more of the same .... the evil crone.

I'm actually not so worried about who is president in the USA.

The real truth is there is a Govt inside the Govt. I'm not talking about some Illuminati conspiracy.

In Washington there are bureaucrats who've held their positions for decades.

When situation xyz presents itself, the Govt of the day asks the team of bureaucrats for options, 2 of which will be ridiculous, and one a best (often worst of a best) option.

Of course individual governments fluff around the edges but really have you seen radical changes of policy in Govts of USA, Australia?

The answer would be no of course not ..... but the observations of the Bikini Atoll were only a part in describing the way the US goes about it's foreign policy & is influenced by other than the actual govt puppets including the President.

And also Syria which gives them the only base to protect their investments in the middle east, that's why Assad is still there its because Russia will not allow a regime change.

You have to hand it to Russia for not starting something, I think if the USA was being surrounded the way they have surrounded Russia they would retaliate without a blink of an eye such is their arrogance and cowboy mentality.

The reason petrol is so cheap is that Saudi Arabia has strategically lowered the cost of its petroleum in order to make the cost of oil exploration and development by the US uneconomical.

The Gulf States have a vested interest in finding ways to prevent the US from becoming self-sufficient through development of its known oil reserves - hence the cheap cost per barrel.

most of NKs military claims have been rejected by experts.  they dont have nuclear capacity as their tests indicate they were duds.  and miniaturisation is a very complex skill - one they do not have.  their missle technology is poor and if they fired a missile at the US it would be intercepted and followed up by a massive retaliation with REAL nukes - ones that work.

NK has zero allies. even china has ditched them.

I repeat - the Chinese have done exactly the same thing to the West as Saudi Arabia has done with its cheap oil, and that is make self-sufficiency uneconomic in the West.

Hence we produce sweet bugger all for our own domestic consumption because it's far cheaper to buy Made in China.

Maybe yes, maybe no.
Having SA stable and the world able to access cheap and reliable energy may have had a much more global stabilizing effect and created growth and prosperity that far outweighs the bullsh!t going in in the Middle East.
Who knows....

I do however think we have reached the time politically and technologically where it's time to leave oil, and leave the Middle East to 'mature'.

As long as the military runs on oil it will always be precious commodity.

Sometimes I've thought that maybe they (military complex) want everyone else off oil so they can have it all.

Don't forget though oil is not just energy in the form of petrol, diesel, lpg etc.

Not a problem.

Aluminium, glass, woods, bamboos, stainless steel etc. would substitute nicely.

In fact plastic is crap in the warmer climates like Australia has. The sun dries the plastic clothes pegs, garden hose fittings, ETC ETC ... causing products made out of plastic to crack and split and deconstruct in very short time.

.. umm ... I prefer the wooden ones to the hollowed-out plastic toilet seats.

Some how Herbie I think you would be bitching the most if the convenience of petroleum products were some how removed from your life.................. ;)

Just remember Baron - when the shooting starts - leave the politicians to me and my Dirty Dozen. They can run - but they won't be able to hide. No disappearing to Paraguay or Argentina on cargo ships.
