PRIME Minister Malcolm Turnbull has announced he will set up a trigger for a double dissolution election.

In Canberra this morning Mr Turnbull said: “The time for playing games is over.”

He said he has asked the Governor-General to recall both houses of parliament on April 18 to consider the Australian Building and Construction Commission Bills and the Registered Organisations Bill.

If the Senate fails to pass these laws, Mr Turnbull said he intended to call on the Governor-General to dissolve both houses of parliament and call an election.

As the double dissolution must be done on or before May 11, the government will bring forward the Budget to May 3.

If this timing is followed, the election is expected to be Saturday, July 2.

Tony Abbott has no mandate to undermine Malcolm Turnbull

Tony Abbott is very close to going from a respected former prime minister to number one Coalition wrecker.

If Labor got rid of Dancing Billy, they would have a chance. Anthony Albanese is about the only person who would be a popular alternative.

Turnbull has caused much discontent amongst Coalition members and done absolutely nothing since he stole office. I will not be voting for him.

For me the choice is easy there is only 1 party basing policy on evidence.

There is only one party who listened to Nobel Prize winning Economist Milton Friedman in making economic policy.

Here is an example of that party-

Deep breath everyone, because the Election is coming.

Lovely to see Little Billy playing honourable husband and father lately.

What a total joke with his C.V. Hope he can keep it in his pants at least for the period of the election.
